A 10 minute Gundam-esque explosive mecha battle can be really cool too.
Doesn't mean adding it to pic related would be a welcome addition to the rest of the show in tone, style or purpose

Same, really if you want to leave some big open ended deal with it, fine, but at the very least have the characters be as invested in the mystery of this world as you are. You can build the world while still leaving it unexplored, just have the characters ask questions you would have and seek answers or challenge the world. Rakka never does any of that, she just whisps along without any question of what the hell is happening or where she is or why she's there.
