This studio has not made anything good in half a decade yet is still fellated by /a/. Why?
I think only K-On and Nichijou are any good, but I still consider myself a fan of the studio. I like the work of a lot of their staff (Yamada, Kigami, RIP Horiguchi) and I think as a business they're really cool. With the industry falling apart they're one of the few who won't get hurt.
Because people like >>152120854 think every generic moeshit anime spewed out of the vast kyoani sphincter is automatically god-tier.
The only thing they're good at is marketing to desperate weebs.
>hey guys how do we make more money
>we must make animu about moeblobs doing nothing
Because their shows look fantastic for more than 3 episodes and their animators are most likely the best in the current industry. I dont like the story in them, but some people do.
Ha, fuck no.
The premise of your question is wrong, we now live in an /a/ where everyone hates Kyoani because after their steady rise to fame out of sheer consistency of quality everyone is now hypercritical of them in a way they are to no other studio
To this day, Haruhi is still the only Kyoani work of any value whatsoever.
An industry defining, life changing metanarrative masterpiece that they seem to have no intention of even trying to top.
Yeah they've never made anything good that why Kyoani shows get trolled the most every season they air a show.
Nice to see you've failed to pay attention to the past half decade.
>this studio has not made anything good in half a decade
Well, he made one decent anime.
Because anime is a visual medium and KyoAni is the best studio in terms of animation.
Also, you're probably a brainlet if you really believe that KyoAni has not made anything good in half a decade.
>magnum opus: Free S3 - You Will Never Be Free
It's literally the opposite. Chitanda has no reason to be curious other than plot requiring it and Oreki's energy economy shit doesn't make any sense (Kyon has actual legit reason to want to avoid Haruhi sometimes).
Haruhi BTFOs Hyouka in every way. It's funnier, feels more natural with a great narration on top of it, captures very well its themes, has a more developed cast, and doesn't have autistic highschoolers going "I'm a database" unironically in ep 3
Hyouka is generic LN #48969547 then.
>inb4 "i-it's a legit novel"
Same fucking shit. Same old club, same shenanigans, except they feel a lot more forced and don't lead to anything except a brief fake-confession.
>Hyouka anywhere near the top
You can't be serious, right? Hyouka is one of their worst.
>make an interesting, informative post about anime history with informed arguments
>no replies, thread dies
>zero effort bait OP about KyoAni
>don't even have to respond to myself with a proxy to get things going
Goddamn it /a/
I always respected each studio no matter how mediocre they are because of the amount of effort it takes to make a show. But wow their works are really BORING.
