I think Ashita no joe is better, but Oniisama e... is the best of his Ikeda's adaptions. If RoV was simply kinda different from the manga, it was more serious, and it removed some comedy elements, Oniisama as anime is miles better than the manga in my opinion, which I guess is expected with this being 39 episodes and the manga being only a short 3 volumes story.
