This kinda highlights a thing that bugs me about late Dragonball. Namely that they forget hair is hair. It should flow in the wind and move when the character moves. There's so many scenes in the anime or movies where Goku's hair tries to keep it's shape rather than being shaped by the wind. or momentum.

Not yet; that'll be introduced in the upcoming arc. Right now, the forces of globalism (the Gods of Destruction, lead by the face of happy racism, George "Zen-o" Soros himself,) are still stronger than Donald "Goku" Trump. The Omniversal Tournament (aka: the 2016 election arc,) is when we will start seeing Goku begin to climb in power to the point where he can eventually challenge these Gods, and perhaps even topple them with the help of his nationalist allies.

As to the matter of Gohan's Brexit, this will occur at the start of the Omniversal Tournament arc, after the teams (ie: presidential primary candidates) have already been decided, just like in real life. Once the teams are decided, Gohan will realize that he no longer has the luxury of sitting on the sidelines while illegal aliens plot to destroy his world, and that he too will have to fight in the tournament as well if he wants to preserve his current lifestyle, and the entire world. He will have to eschew what society deems to be "correct" (meaning, having a stable job, going to university, etc...) in order to do what is "right," escape from under the oppressive heel of his mother, Chichi (representing political correctness) and leave her behind forever. Ultimately, his sacrifice will pay off, causing him to transform into something far more powerful... and perhaps even attain the legendary "rage" transformation.

TL;DR - The Omniversal Tournament is Gohan's Brexit.

The matter of how Goku will stop Zen-o has yet to be decided, but it will happen. Most likely, it will involve fusing with/ receiving power from multiple SSGSS from every universe, collecting a massive spirit bomb by using the energy from every single person in the multiverse, and hitting Zen-o with it. Alternatively, they could ask for Ultra Dragonballs as a prize for winning and simply wish away the damage, but that doesn't really seem like Goku's style, and he has already expressed his desire to fight Zen-o multiple times.

Source on this? I don't keep tabs on the anime as I do with the manga, and I know that this was never made a condition in the manga. It might have been an anime-only thing.

Goku fighting against Zeno would have to mean that he surpassed, or at the very least, rivaled the power and strength of Beerus, Champa, the other Hakaishin, Whis, Vados, the other Angels, Daishinkan, and the Royal Guards. This is something I don't see happening, and if it does, it'd be considered poor writing. Never mind that though, Beerus and Whis have stated specifically that Zeno does and will not ever fight because he doesn't need to.

It all comes back to what Roshi and recently Beerus/Whis have said, Goku needs to be leagues below other people so that he doesn't become overconfident and believe that he'll be the strongest forever with no one to rival with - ultimately slacking in his training. It was the whole reason why Roshi entered the tournament as Jackie Chun, and Beerus added Monaka into the tournament against U7 and U6.

It is a pretty conspicuous line of dialogue to throw in there, considering that Goku is asked by Whis in BoG to take Beerus's place when he dies, although he declines. Obviously I am not insinuating that movies are canon all of the sudden, but this shows scriptwriters are clearly thinking about doing something like this down the road, if nothing else.

Vegeta, on the other hand, would have no reason to decline were the need for a new God of Destruction were to arise somehow, especially if the universe would be put at stake if a new one could not be found (which I see as being quite likely.) At a more personal level, it would endow him with the power to surpass Goku, which is a desire of Vegeta's that Whis is clearly aware of, and uses to manipulate him in this very scene. Whis is not the forgetful type, and as such, I'm sure this topic will be brought back into conversation down the road.

If magic isn't considered fighting, sure, but in the Dragonball universe that couldn't be further from the truth. As far as I'm concerned, Zen-o *did* fight when he obliterated Astral Zamasu, but of course Whis and Beerus weren't around to see that, because they had already been killed in that timeline along with the other Hakaishin and their angels... by Goku Black and Zamasu, no less. If Goku Black and Zamasu can surpass the Hakaishin, why can't Goku? Which brings me to...

Goku didn't want to become the Hakaishin because he saw the occupation of destroying planets and its inhabitants as something he couldn't go through with. Regarding the situation with Vegeta, that bit was most likely as I assumed - which was strictly something Toei decided to implement in the episode. But knowing his character, we shouldn't forget that Vegeta has changed for the better; he doesn't revel in destruction.

Not to mention that the task of a Hakaishin requires the person to be focused on their job, something that even Beerus fails in nowadays as seen by the audience/readers and pointed out by Whis. Beerus values food over his own job. Vegeta does want to require strength, but I doubt he'd choose to become the new Hakaishin. Sorry, it's just something I don't personally see him doing.

You're exactly right, which is why he tried to get out of it in that episode. I don't think it's a responsibility he'd undertake willingly, if he had a chance to get out of it, and certainly not if he felt it would prevent him from training to surpass Goku. That said, if he *had* to, presumably in order to preserve the balance of the universe or whatever (after all, we have never seen a universe with no God of Destruction to preside over it before,) I think he certainly would. It might also serve as a kind of personal redemption for him, seeing as he still feels guilty about the person he used to be, and takes flak from Piccolo about his "impure heart" all the time.

Wait, what? Where is this stated in the manga? We haven't actually met any "Gods of Creation" yet (presumably besides Zen-o,) and it would be pretty strange if there were a race of beings whose job was to ceaselessly destroy planets without any of them ever being replaced. Each universe would eventually run out of planets to destroy, unless an equivalent force of creation exists somewhere in each universe.

Most likely, destroying planets is less like a job and more like a hobby of the extremely arrogant Hakaishin, whom possess nigh-unlimited power and would be inclined to believe that using it against weaker races is merely the natural order of things. Not to mention that, as you said, Beerus and Whis spend most of their time just lazing about as opposed to destroying planets... and they never seem to complain about failing to meet their "destroyed planet quota" for the month. If it were really their "job"... and we've already seen that Beerus does get serious when Zen-o, his employer, is involved... wouldn't it make sense for him to be taking it a bit more seriously?

Yeah, my bad. I do not actually read the manga yet (although I've been thinking about picking it up recently.) and if this has been talked about in the anime, it totally slipped my mind. I had been under the impression that G-Black and Zamasu killed the Gods of Destruction in each universe, causing their much stronger angels to disappear from existence.

Nevertheless, seeing as how Goku came very close to besting Beerus in combat, I could definitely see G-Black and Zamasu surpassing a Hakaishin with enough time in Goku's body and enough training.

That wasn't him fighting anyone. Bardock wanted a fight, but Freeza decided to simply destroy both him and the planet without getting his hands dirty. It wasn't personal combat, it was merely easy destruction, which was the same thing in Zeno's case. I don't know anyone who considers Freeza appearing and destroying Planet Vegeta as a sense of "fighting."

Comparing Freeza (Namek arc) to Zeno doesn't make sense. Goku had fought Freeza prior and realized that the power gap between the two was too large for him to defeat Freeza on his own, so he had to resort to using the Genkidama. It was more of a last resort of nothing, and it wasn't even completely made of Goku's power either, but even then it didn't even kill Freeza.

With Zeno, there was no fight between Zamasu prior; he simply appeared, expressed his distaste with the condition of the Earth and annoyance of Zamasu, and agreed to destroy it along with Zamasu under Goku's suggestion. Zeno was more of a deus ex machina.
