I'm still not convinced that mystery and this level of fantasy works that well together, when mysteries are solved by really fantastical plot elements that they just introduce on the fly.

In any case I liked the protagonist though, his general outlook as well as his fighting style were entertaining.

It was bad. Halfway in the mystery was just fucking taxing and I wanted them to get it over with only to finally reach the end of that hellish trudge and be greeted by another fucking unnecessarily dragged out game of Clue which thankfully never happened because it didn't get a S2.

Oh and the animation was total trash.

Because it took 12 episodes to solve the big mystery of the premise (which was obvious from the beginning)... And right at the end they just added a new character and remade the same mystery again.
In a way, if they didn't gave us an answer, the anime would actually been better, not good, but better.

Adapting only volume 1, its ending seemed like a dumb way of "resetting" the story. At least the next volume expands on it and adds another layer of mystery to the plot while explaining why was it possible.
