Its a similar issue with Unohana' Bankai; theres a blank space where we have to fill in an ability given the context. Except in this case its not the Bankai whos ability wasn't specifically mentioned, its Kisukes Shikai. Besides, we probably never saw the full extent of Benihimes abilities; whats important is that his Bankai represents the full extent of Kisukes power, in which case it fulfills its concept perfectly.

Why did Kubo waste her? We never got to see what her ability was, he offpaneled most of the fight, and then killed her. And for what? Kenpachi? Why couldn't she just let Kenpachi go on as her successor and help in the war?

Her character really made me hate Kenpachi. He's a boring one trick pony. Barely better than Ichigo in my opinion. She's been hyped ever since her first appearance and the first time we see her fight it gets off paneled. She was an actual strong female character too.

She isn't the only one either.

If that was the case that his sickness was getting to him, wouldn't he have taken a hiatus and Jump would be fine with it? Oda took breaks. The thing about these novels is that with the exception of Honey Dish Rhapsody we never get actual translations. So people relied on shoddily translated snippets of the novel, or worse, other people's impression about those snippets. Even with the wedding novel, we get part by part translation now but some of the initial inaccurate impressions stayed and even spread to casuals who don't even get it from the original site those translations are posted in. And then you get people who don't even read Japanese whining that Matsubara and Narita don't do their homeworks, when their writing suggest they read every single chapter of Bleach and the side materials.

When you read the dead kid comic the impression you get is Kubo doesn't want a hiatus, he just wants to quit the whole thing. He even had to be persuaded by Matsubara to agree to draw illustrattions for the novel. That doesn't sound like a mangaka that Shueisha is happy to drop. More like, he wanted to quit and they were like, ok but at least quit after you do this and that.

By the end of Bleach its sales is nowhere near its peak, BUT its per volume sales can still go toe-to-toe with some of Jump's current lineups like Gintama, SnS and Boku no Hero Academia. I doubt they'd do the 2018 live action movie if they think the franchise is no longer profitable. In fact not having a manga or anime alongside a LA movie is taking a huge risk because Bleach is not as big a franchise as Kenshin, that was able to pull that off with nostalgia and strong international fanbase.

Orihime was the first person outside of the Shinigami that Rukia and Renji told the big news to, Rukia said she wanted to let her female bestfriend know the news first.

Also the one to come up with the idea to make the wedding veil was Orihime and she gets everyone from the twins to Tatsuki and co and of course the original nakama to help make it. Orihime is a fan of flowers and decided to sew "strawberry flowers" onto the veil because it means "happy family" and she found it fitting for the newlyweds.

Not confirmed yet but supposedly Ichika's name came from this. Her name is a symbol of their friendship.

For the most part the Shinigami had no idea what sort of abilities the Sternritter used; before they arrived they still only knew the Quincy used bows and arrows. Whereas the Quincy knew almost all of the captains powers, and were given instructions on their best match-ups.

This is why I hate his fight with Findorr it's loaded with power level faggotry thanks to his "I get stronger when I break my mask". Kubo should have stuck with his 'hard worker' and 'scared of death' aspects better with him fighting more desperately and using his various tricks like his explosives. Really Hisagi could've been like Rock Lee as 'the weakest vice captain' but he makes up for it in inventiveness, maybe thrown in a little something similar to Hanatarou's pill to puff him up if he really wanted to appeal to power levels.

Aside from being fellow VCs I think Renji and Rangiku are just naturally easy to make friends. So when he became a VC, he already has his buddies Kira and Hinamori, academy sempai Hisagi and 11th division sempai Iba who both have a thing for Rangiku, who is the oneesan of all the female VCs. He also still hangs out with his other 11th division bros Ikkaku and Yumichika so perhaps one day this group of high-ranking Rukongai survivors and low nobles just all hang out together and hit it off.
