Exorcist is shonenshit after all and those tend to sell very poorly except for a few exceptions.
Turned out that the anime was one of those exceptions and so the movie got made later.

I just hope this ends up being a split so we get eyebrows arc in half a year.

I'm glad they are retconning that godawful second half of the first season. Anime only casuals are confused but the manga was way more interesting this way and feels more genuine.

I haven't read the first chapters in a while so I can't say I remember a lot. To be honest, I don't think she ever did something directly but from the little I remember it's more subtle things like she saying she will become an exorcist or become a strong person and Rin likes that and wants to try more himself.

Dunno if it's superficial but I think he likes her both physically and as a person. I admit I didn't think I would like her because Izumo is my type of character but while I was binge-reading the manga two years ago, I start liking her and she has grown on me. Shura still remains my favourite female character of the story though.

I was gonna post a link to the rearranged Matsuri on the Plugless soundtrack but it's not fucking uploaded anywhere. That song is fantastic and really shows what Sawano is capable of if he wasn't sought after for his "epic" compositions.

I just finished the first episode. It was kinda slow and I feel they sort of skimped on the animation to save for the big action later. Music was good, Izumo was great, that mother whose son got abducted was cute, and it was nice hearing everyone's voices again.

The new opening theme is kind of mediocre but goddamn it is pretty. Next episode looks a lot better.
