Which DQ would work best as anime?

If we are talking in manga terms, Emblem of Roto is better than Dai no Daiboken, since Dai is pretty repetitive

>their boss respect you and join your group

if were are speaking in games terms, DQ 5 is pretty emotional story and does "the hero's journey" formula amazingly

DQ 8 is also pretty good, but I don't see how it can be adapted because there are so many things to cover unless it becomes a long runner like One piece and Naruto

the sequel is ongoing with 26 volumes, the most recent one came out just last week

It's a RPG. Or two depending on how you count the remake.
The remake is pretty vanilla, they removed all the rapes because it was supposed to come out on the Saturn.

Dragon Garrow Lee (famous doujin artist) started working for Jump (he draws "I died and reincarnated as Yamucha" miniseries)

he actually released DQ V doujin at Comiket last week

so an official DQ V manga isn't impossible

Toriyama and Sugiyama actually got together to work on "Legend of the
Hero Abel" the show was very popular in the late 80s and early 90s in
Japan but some problems between the producing house and Horii got the
show canceled.

Otherwise 5 is good as manga I think.

The Dragon quest manga was pretty good though. Real cool.
