Say something nice about the GOAT.

environmentalism is not entirely stupid
Miyazaki and Anno were right to start their own plane club. Fuck that otaku plane club.
>>151858808
...
I got nothin'.
He looks like the KFC slaver.
Thanks for making /a/ so mad all the time, Colonel Sanders.
Happy Birthday plane otaku man
This thread was a mistake.
I wanna send him a zombie game as a present
He's got a strong will and a lot of passion. I think it's kinda endearing how he can bitch about Otakus and then play with one of his model airplanes on camera.
He's just a bull in a china shop when it comes to the unfamiliar.
>>151859200
Why'd they even show that fucking thing to him? It was clearly a programmer's toy more than anything else. No one's going to make fucking anime with that.
>>151858808
Happy birthday to my favourite director, here's to one more movie.
>>151858808
Spirited Away's still the best film/anime I've ever seen.
>>151859408
It's my favorite too! Everything about it just feels so magical.
NausicaƤ is the high point of anime.
>>151858808
Porco Rosso is fun
>>151859349
Because he is experimenting with digital animation for his next short/film. I guess he wanted to know about programatically generated animation as a complement/substitution to classical key-framed animation.
Miyazaki was a mistake.
He has strong conviction and I admire his work ethic.
Couldn't or wouldn't adapt to digital and so he became a fossil.
>>151858808
That's not Tezuka.
Whatever my opinion about him might be, his contribution to the industry is undeniable.
>>151859964
He was doing digital before it was cool. Then everybody started to employ CGI to cut corners and he got mad.
>>151859984
It's not his birthday.
He BTFOs ugly CGshit which triggers /a/ because it indirectly bashes their favorite shitstain vomit of the season, but once everything has been overtaken by low quality pig disgusting CG next decade, /a/ will convince themselves they've "always" been on his side.
>''It is necessary that I should die for anime; but my spirit will rise from the grave and the world will know that I was right."

So he got what he wanted and then bitched because they used a zombie model and it reminded him of his cripple friend?
He really IS a fucking old man. I feel so bad for those fucks now. Imagine pouring your heart and soul into programming that project, and then having someone call it an affront to life itself, purely because it's not "artsy."
>>151860087
That's not what he was talking about. I do agree that Miyazaki was being a dick here, but the reason he brought up his crippled friend is because he was drawing a comparison. The sheer emotion in not being able to see his friend do the simplest of things, such as high-fiving him. There's a certain emotional depth that cannot be depicted in the CGI, and specifically in the AI CGI presented here, and that's what Miyazaki is getting at. Whether or not you agree with him is a different matter.
Was his point completely unrelated to what the programmers were displaying? I think that's a fair point. Was he being rude? Yes, absolutely.
>>151858808
His works are beyond that of Sugar's. it's like Coke vs. Pepsi.
I'm sorry that people got mad at you based on a made-up quote.
Cripples should all just die.
>>151859408
>And I have seen 20 anime
Her's right about everything you know
>>151863555
t. waifu fag
>>151863555
I think the more anime you watch, the more you appreciate how good Miyazaki is.
>>151858808
Eat shit you oldfag.
>>151858808
To be honest, I grew up watching his films.
So thanks for the childhood memories.
>>151858808
Birthdays were a mistake
Miyazaki is going to stroke his Japanese dick to 10 year old girl planes while complaining about otaku later on today
>Miyazaki will die in you lifetime.
>>151859200
I wonder how he'd like Left 4 Dead.
>>151860086
isnt his next movie going to be cgshit?
>>151859964
Yeah no. He helped create one of the earliest digitally animated anime movies. It nearly broke the studio.
>>151858808
I enjoy his karaage
