Nothing happened in half of its episodes, but Rakugo was still better than everything else in that season. I think it has been the only drama I've liked, too.

Can't wait for S2. That cliffhanger ending was bullshit.

Picrelated scene was one of the best scenes in decades, and Miyokichi is very lovable. I'm not sure about second season of Rakugo, because without her the whole show loses its charm.

What did you guys rate Rakugo?

I gave it a 9/10, but I damn near gave it a full 10. My biggest problem was that the deaths of Sukeroku and Miyokichi felt kinda forced to me. I expected it to go a more dark route instead of the whole "Just let me go and save yourself!" thing

Now I can't wait for the second season even more. I'd read it, but a big part of Rakugo's appeal - at least for me - is the great voice acting when telling the stories.

Is the father of Konatsu's baby the guy played by Tomokazu Seki? I feel like they might be done the deed when they both were wasted.

Remember this scene from the first episode? These are Konatsu's memories of her dad dying. But she was just a kid back then in a very stressful situation. On the other hand what we saw in the flashback arc is just what Kiku told Konatsu and Yotaro, not necessarily what happened.

I have the scans but I can't read Nip so yes, I think he does. There is that dude in volume 6 and his father (?) I am not sure what is going on and I can't tell you he is indeed the father but from what I get that's him unless the whole thing is about something else.
