To be kinda honest it sounds kinda gimmicky. I'm reading part 6 right now and I really enjoy that it's set in modern times, not that the first few parts were bad I just think with all the stands and weirdness putting it in an even more weird setting would be too much.

Probably more of a problem with part 6, but the Stand dynamic was getting stale really quick. It wasn't until Steel Ball Run that Araki revamped everything for the JoJo's universe.

Tbh I think a lot of his artistic design would fall flat in a futuristic setting. Futuristic designs generally lose a lot of cultural influence as designs progress towards being mixed with shiny things and acid trips. By using historical culture liberally, he's able make really distinct and impressionable characters like aztec warriors, nazi officers, American Indians, and British gents with tophats and swagger.

I think the only futuristic setting that Araki might be able to make work is a dismal one with grit and human loss similar to Metal Gear Solid's.

JoJo already explores some concepts easly adaptable with futuristic technology. Paisley Park being a great example. l think a futuristic JoJo would work well because it would work almost as a modern setting, but could include stuff like flying cars, holograms (which Araki would most certainly use) and some kind of cyber police or something. Personally l would love to see a story about a crew of futuristic spies of some kind. A bit like mission impossible.

I'm pretty sure we'll get an Italian jojo, or at the very least one set there. SBR had references to part 1 and 2, with most of the cast being alternative versions of the characters from those parts.
On the other hand Jojolion has references to parts 3 and 4. 4 is obvious but there's still a bit of 3 with holly, the maid being Jotaro and so on.

For part 9 we'll most likely get references to part 5 and 6 if Araki continues the pattern. Personally I want jolyne and Giorno to meet since I love the fan art of them being kids that like each other despite their dads fighting.

Nah SBR had shit sales because 6 was aimed at an older audience but still published in WSJ so barely anyone read it then SBR started as it's own thing without JJBA in the title and sold shit because of no brand appeal then they added JoJo to the name and moved it to a less popular magazine so sales only increased slightly. Honestly he should have made the switch to Ultra Jump at the beginning of Part 6, he would have been able to write the story the way he wanted to without being held back and he might have retained more readers if they actually knew SO was going to be different to what came before rather than dropping it on everyone and keeping it in WSJ despite clearly not being aimed at WSJ's target audience.

Jolyne imo. I like how it reflected Jonathan's and was total POTTERY how the first and last JoJo sacrificed themselves to let someone else escape and hopefully finish the fight. And although Irene has her soul but not her memories and no one but Emporio will ever remember her, the world is only the way it is because of that sacrifice. Even if she doesn't technically exist as she did before, she still matters because the world wouldn't be the same place without her which also ties in with FF's death speech nicely and really enhances both character deaths.

He seemed to have gotten the idea by Part 5 but he still had some issues there. Sleeping Slaves is integral to Bruno's character arc and it seems pretty obvious he had it planned from the start but that he never actually planned on where to put it in the story, and he reached the end before an appropriate place came up so it just feels tacked on despite it's importance to wrapping things up. And then in 6 he had all the batshit stuff at the end planned out but found himself rushed towards the end when he'd spent so much time on other shit that there wasn't enough left for another volume so the last three chapters feel rushed despite being so integral to the plot and themes. Then in 7 almost every character that wasn't Johnny, Gyro, Lucy or Valentine got dropped hard because the story was taking far longer than he anticipated and he didn't want to be writing it for 10 years. 8 has the potential to be the first Part where he actually gets all the small shit like that right given how much seems planned out, though he's gotten the idea better since finishing Part 4.

I think it was less of a character development from Joshuu but instead it was to show some kind of character depth into him considering that he still became the asshole we love by the next chapter.

I've read it twice and my opinion of it barely changed. I like Marilyn Manson and Bohemian Rhapsody a lot more after rereading them but that's about it.
Don't get me wrong, the characters are great (Pucci is fav villain) and it has some good arcs before leaving the prision (like Highway to Hell, Limp Bizkit and Whitesnake vs F.F.), but most of them were uninteresting and it felt like Araki said "Fuck it" and decided to end the original universe just like that
