That is a bit of an assumption, there isn't really any concrete proof that is true. If you really want to get into the nitty gritty then just go back and take a look at the reading again. To ignore damage and to ignore pain are completely different orders. During the fight with Hana, Pukin should have been screaming each time she got hit because of her amplified senses from Hana's magic. However, all she ended up doing is grunting at each blow. Fast forward to the last fight, she screams several times as she gets hurt. In the end even Pukin's face twisted in pain when Mei blew her up. This leads me to believe that she felt every hit, any other magical girl would have their mind broken because of the pain. I'm sure getting skull fucked by a grenade and cane aren't pleasant.
