Y'know people can parrot "This was the worst year in anime EVER" as many times as they want, but I feel like I found a lot of hidden or underrated gems this year that I'm really glad I watched

Shows that would never otherwise be "the best" but felt like ignoring them wasn't doing them justice.

And that's not counting the go-to shows like Re:Zero or Konosuba that have been tainted by being popular and attractive shitposters. This year was pretty enjoyable I think.

This year was fine. Every year has at least 5 shows worth watching. And usually more like 5 good shows and 10 decent shows.

This is a sharp contrast to anime in the 70s and 80s where there might have been two decent shows in an entire year. The same people who complain about anime being bad 'now' haven't even watched anime before the year 1998.
