To avoid this board as much as possible in order to keep my sanity and my enjoyment of anime intact.
That the powers that be on this site on 2016 are faggots straight out of /qa/.
>madoka and shits;gay shitposting was SIX years ago
Somebody hold me.
>That Hiro is a fucking Jew determined to ruin the site beyond recognition.
Pretty much this. Kind of cool that I lived long enough to see the 4chan Gold Account meme become real, though.
lol fucking normie!
what are you talking about?
One more lesson for the year.
I still have faith for this board. Despite all the drama with mods powertripping and newfags shitting up the place, I still find interesting threads daily. And talking about current series is always a treat.
Love you all fags.
things I learned in 2016 /a/
1. Recommendation threads are allowed now
2. Doesn't have self moderation because of the /jp split, making it easier to spam
3. The userbase can't help but reply to obvious bait
4. Should have the reply cooldown minimized
5. Generals are expected to be created for dumped comics
6. Nostalgia-fags are now everywhere
>1. Recommendation threads are allowed now
No they aren't, report them and they are rapidly deleted
>4. Should have the reply cooldown minimized
That would just encourage shitposting and image dumps
I started browsing /a/ recently again after a long break and since returning I've noticed that threads which would have been shouted down as a thinly veiled rec thread gets responses and there's more spoonfeeding now. Obviously I missed something judging by this thread.
Newfags. Lots and lots of filthy fucking non-lurking newfags.
I wish making a rec thread was a year's ban and spoonfeeding in one at least half a year.
>Isekai is a meme that can never be saved. No one will ever get Isekai right.
>DEEN isn't shit
>Wit Studio is trash
>GunDAMN will never die
>Eva 4.0 never
And Anon's taste is still shit
On bait, even sometimes people dismiss long and well thought out criticisms of their favorite anime as bait. It really sucks because discussion is being stifled in favor of circlejerks.
Although there are some pretty clear bait posts, you know, the ones involving "bad writing" without a single sentence elaborating on it.
Kyoani will never make another good het show
Agreed, it's a place to discuss anime, people should be expected to already have some knowledge and conform to the board, not the other way around. The content and threads seems to not have changed at least and there's as many shit theads as ever. I see people moaning about generals again but it won't get them anywhere.
Even if it's a well thought out criticism, you have to admit the moment that a buzzword is used it's just inviting a beito response, not that I'm saying it's okay. The best threads for discussion are the ones tangentially related to the subject matter funnily enough because it invites less retards.
Honestly I just wish posting "that" copypasta and related replies would result in an instant ban. Even when they get deleted they just keep coming back. I'm honestly believing that it is mostly posted by the same group of people, some of whom may have proxies in case they're banned for spamming "that".
I don't want to say its name because if I mention it, someone might actually decide to post it here. Let's just say the copypasta I'm referring to is somehow related to the highest grossing Japanese film of all time.
Putting 8 exclamation points at the end of your title doesn't make it more exciting (or good).
Come on, this should have been obvious since you followed current anime seasons instead of getting anime through a non-jap TV anime block.
It's like any other medium, mostly trash with some great shit waiting to be found.
Rec threads are now acceptable on /a/. Its okay to spoonfed every retard that goes "sauce?". And that everyone besides me still has shit taste.
1. Naurto is actually allowed and has common threads with no copypasta bombing anymore
2. Board is getting slower with more people leaving
3. Most people are very new based on people freaking out over (You)s if they aren't using 4chan X or know how to restore them in the native extension
4. Recommendation threads are encouraged and anyone who calls them out is called an "elitist"
That no anime series is beyond bringing back from the dead.
Original shows will have great threads for the first three to four weeks, whereupon shitposters will rain from the skies and lower the overall quality of discussion. Some threads can recover from this, others will be fucked forever. This can be avoided if the show in itself finds the perfect balance between alright and kinda shitty so it falls under the radar.
Heavy Object threads
Flying Witch threads
occasional peek into re:zero threads
Flip Flapper threads
That /a/ mods should stay the fuck away from /pol/ and /qa/ should be burned down.
