I saw it at the preview about 1 month ago, it's great! Every pieces of Shinkai movies is here. I think it's the first Shinkai to be that funny also. It makes it easier to watch and more pleb friendly.
The preview was a huge sucess. In Paris, at Les Halles, Makoto Shinkai was promoting the movie so we could see him and ask questions. 30 mn after the ticket went on sell it was sold out! We are talking about the biggest movie theater of Les Halles. The cinema reopen a new teater for the preview and it went sold out really quick too. We welcomed Shinkai really well and ask good questions!

The movie was officially released Wednesday and it seems that it did great. On his first day, it was the 3rd most viewed movie wich is great since it was only released in a few theaters.

French TV and magazine also talk a bit about the movie (I'm taking about the news, not specialized press).

I will probably go rewatch it soon. Hype!
