A woman can only be pregnant with a single baby at a time, and during pregnancy, while giving birth, and for a long while after giving birth they're extremely vulnerable and generally not capable of taking care of themselves.

Men however, can pop in once, knock a woman up and leave and they more or less succeeded at reproduction, and can impregnate a theoretically limitless number of women.

So from a biological perspective, women being the flirtatious ones who seek constant sex with lots of different men and men being conservative and choosy doesn't make sense.

Gender reversal like this can work but ultimately it requires that male investment becomes much higher or the mechanics of sex change somewhat. Certain species of Katydids have this where the females try to fuck every male they can, because the males produce a giant ball of super-nutritious gunk mixed with the semen. The males can only do this once though, so they're super picky about who they fug.

Human men shitting out delicious blobs of food probably isn't very appealing though so for this to work other avenues would probably be better:

-Men can only fug once a month or so (a less extreme of what's seen in a lot of fly species, though the sex in reverse)
-Men develop extreme paternal instincts and become the primary caretakers of children (seen in some bird species)
-Women are suddenly a lot harder to impregnate (doesn't really make evolutionary sense however)
