Just finished reading homunculus and was blown away by the ending.
What are your thoughts on the manga?
Ending is fitting and not rushed at all, despite what a lot of people here think.
Good shit, reminder to check for hemorrhage after drilling.

I feel like for many people the ending was very confusing.
In my opinion, Nanako died and in his craze to find himself kept drilling holes every time his old ones plugged up.
It sets an example of how when someone tries so hard to find something that isn't there the brain will trick us into following delusions of grandeur.
boring
>newfriend just finished some old shit and want to discuss about it
Cute.
I think I really don't like shit that pretends to be philosophical.
Okay, I'll try to discuss it from what I remember because why not.
What do you think of this tranny? What do you think of the dilemma of eating cum? What was your favorite homunculus? Which was your favorite character? Did you like how it never became a "homunculus of the week"? because I would have been okay with that. But most importantly:What does it mean to be human?

>It sets an example of how when someone tries so hard to find something that isn't there the brain will trick us into following delusions of grandeur.
Bravo.

>tfw finished this old shit years ago and no one wanted to discuss it
Being late hurts, anon. I bet you know what it feels like too.

> What do you think of the dilemma of eating cum?
It seemed really strange to me when I first saw him do this, but when he conversed with Nanako in the car about the baby he ran away from I got a hidden message.
He was so obsessed with trying to feel alive, by smelling his feet and smelling/eating his cum. He became obsessed with trying to figure out if he was alive and the last place that was left is where life comes from.

I was into the story until he ate his cum. Then i had to stop and I never continued
It's too deep for me and also a classic.
Too edgy
The manga tried so hard to be deep it turned out shallow. Completely overrated.

We have near constant threads for all the old "classics", what the fuck are you on about?
I don't know why the sidekick couldn't just fess up to being a huge homo.

I really like it up until the schoolgirl "symbols" bullshit, dropped it there. It was just way too plodding and wasted so much time on an uninteresting teenager's psychology.
Like yeah, as if we haven't heard enough about an angsty teenager's mindset. Maybe I'll get back into it at some point but I really have little desire to force my way through that.

It gets better. He meets a long lost love again and it's the best part of the manga.
>>151498367
I also dropped this. It seemed like pretentious and boring bullshit at the time. Although I do plan to finish it some time.

Wouldnt say it pretentious but the pseudoscience or science bit were put out quite distasteful for some maybe, I want to say pretentious too but it did not feel like it. Guess I'm into long winded talk on bullshit stuff to see how it goes and to go "what the fuck" whenever his third eye/mind see the world. The gold fish bit was hilarious.
