Granted, she was being spied on, but Maho didn't know that. Like even a fucking attempt would've been enough. I can't imagine Kurisu changed laptops or passwords before coming to Japan. Unless they changed the password during the encryption thing.

Got Ghennas Stigma as my first ending last night.

Doctor Leskinen please up my dosage of Cyanide gas so I can leave this shitty world.

I'm enjoying the game so far but I miss the depth that the original had. Having decisions be based on the opposite choice of Amadeus calls feels kind of shallow.

The original was much better. Why did the nips say it wasn't?

>>
>>151453335

Would have been better if it was more detective mystery with Amadeus that lead to the paths, instead of momentary decisions that drastically change the timelines for no discernible reason.

The Gehanna ending made sense, in the moment since it would technically lead to you getting caught. But you end up getting safer out of that, than in the one where you dont take the call which is Mayuri end. Also, WHO THE FUCK IS THE BITCH IN THE MOTORCYCLE SUIT. IS IT MOEKA
IS IT KAGARI
HOW DID KAGARI GET BRAINWASHED
>>
>>151447712
The time machine obviously. You could rule over all of mankind as a godlike being beyond the grasp of time.

Okabe is just too much a moralfag.
>>
>>151453907
Okabe sent a text through time and accidentally killed his best friend and set the world up for a new world order. He finally fixed that, but then killed his waifu and put the world on the right path for the third world war. Good fucking luck controlling the outcome of your time meddling.

He always had the option of helping the Committee, like Gamma Okabe who ended up as emperor of Japan. He could have chosen from a plethora of timelines that end in his personal enrichment as well. As long as you don't want to prevent deaths caused by convergence you'll be just fine. Also, the question was obviously directed at anons in real life where we don't have to worry about Rounders, Sern or the Illuminati.

To summon a Kurisu you need to draw a pentagram with a picture of Okabe, a book on neuroscience, a fork, pudding and your own semen while chanting "Christina".
>>
>>151455028
How many times do I need to chant? Do I put my semen in the pudding or on a separate plate?

>>
>>151455102
Chant until she appears or are too exhausted to keep going.
You're supposed to place the semen in a separate plate, but if you draw the pentagram with your semen it's more effective.

>>
>>151446014
Yeah, still doesn't make any sense, I get that [Kurisu] can access memories from other timelines with no problem, but that's only valid until the point she was created.
So Amadeus should be able to know about the world where the USSR still exists, but there's no way she could know about Hououin Kyouma.
>>
>>151444305

>>
>>151456828
She did seem to enjoy kissing 14yo Okabe in the movie, though.
>>
>>151456927
Because she'd probably managed to Reading Steiner up the memory of being cucked out of his first kiss by Mayuri. She was going to fix that shot.
>>
>>151456927
>14 year old okabe is only 3 years younger than her
>>
>>151456990
Also cause 14yo Okabe was a qt.
She definitely wanted a taste of both teen and young adult Okabe.
>>
>>151457084
Isn't Kurisu 18?
>>
WHY DON'T WE EVER GET TO SEE LOLI KURISU
>>
>>151456805
I don't think you are quite getting it. While being deleted either some glitch or some kind of miracle happend and a Reading Steiner type effect happend. So at that point she got memories from a wordline where she didn't die which includes knowing Okabe as Hououin Kyouma.
Is kinda an asspull, but not that far-fetched since the Reading Steiner effect has been shown to work in multiple people (even even Kurisu if you count the OVA as canon) and the AI simulates a human brain (in this case Kurisu's).
>>
>>151456990
>Shot
Shit. I'm as bad as autocorrect.
>>151457084
Kurisu just turned 18 in S;G and she might be a year older again in the movie. Possibly more if you consider some of the time leap weirdness that happens in it.
>>
>>151456805
>>151457170
You're both wrong, you're thinking that the world lines are simultaneous and that just can't be right, if that was the case Mayuri shouldn't have memories of her dying.

>>
One thing I can't still quite wrap my head over. What's up with Kagari, Yuki and Celty Sturluson? That bit was needlessly convoluted.
>>
What boards would Kurisu post in?
>>
>>151444904
Doesn't matter, he must have a password to access his shit, and he'll give it up eventually if you apply enough preassure.
>>
>>151457490
This, they are not simultneous.

This being said, it's certainly related to one of Kurisu's last things in S;G; All of the Kurisu gather together and create "her", outside of time and space. Given SG0 and the fact that S;G clearly saied it, although as a theory to make Okabe feels better, that's probably how it works; People are their memories (cf what Maho says to post-future Okabe), therefore even if they're not exactly the same thing because Amadeus has new data Kurisu doesn't, Amadeus is a part of Kurisu. Therefore she has access to Kurisu's memories.

It's certainly more of a plot device to have a dramatic ending, but it fits realy well with both Reading steiner/the Deja vu and with what we saw about it before 0. SG0's "people are their memories, you have your memories therefore you are Okabe" is just the icing on the cake.

>>
>>151458926
I'm not sure about which ending you're talking about and who "they" is, but in most cases the laptop is just a "jut in case" if mixing Kagari and Amadeus doesn't work anyway. They want it just in case and they don't want anyone else having it just in case, too.
>>
>>151459022
I think it was the Maho ending, where its the beginning of one of Mozart's songs that Kurisu liked. I also didn't like how Maho's own ending focused more on her inferiority complex that falling in love with Okabe, which only happens in Vega.
>>
>>151459085

>He didn't even play it
No thats not it, you fucking retard

>>
>>151459085
Gehenna is pretty much explicit about it too, but yeah. I thought it was interesting, but since Maho was my favorite steins;girl, some other aspects of her without shafting the Mozart/Salieri part would have been great.

And well, at this point aho already knows that the laptop isn't something to be fucked with and nobody else knows it and is in condition to use it. At this point noboedy hae any interest in time travel except for the antagonists which are 1/ dead 2/ out of the loop.
>>
I bet Kurisu uses GNU+Linux.
>>
I want to have children with kurius
>>
>>151459137
He's certainly not talking about the "fake" one. The "real Kurisu" says later that "the song hereis the password", which probably meant the "name of the song", ot singing it. It's just one line that isn't really used though.
>>
>>151459257
But what's even the point of giving her the password? Did Maho even open up the laptop with it?
>>
>>151459477
Probably as a last gift to her friend. And it's also a sign that Kurisu trust Maho when it comes to pretty much everything. The thing more or less "contain" a damn time machine, so it means that she trust Maho enough to know that she will not do any stupid thing with it, and she doesn't (despite the fact that earlier, and in Gehenna, she thought about it in order to save Kurisu wen Okabe and her was at Rajikan, I think)

Basically the fact that Maho doesn't use it, and the fact that Kurisu thinks so, and doesn't left Maho out of the loop, is the point.

It has always been sealed, and it has always been integrated.
I'm one of those people who are "underground chuuni". I think chuuni thoughts all the time, to the point I have an established setting for daydreaming about, and often when I come to some decision, I immediately make up some incredibly chuuni way of putting it as a final sentence in internal dialogue. For some reason thinking like that just hypes me up and makes me stop doubting myself. I'm also prone to random philosophising out of nowhere.
I'm not really ashamed of it. It has always been a part of me and I can't really imagine myself abandoning that. Maybe I will grow out of it eventually, though, by losing my soul to taxes or something. Time will tell. Anyway, since it's a major part of my thinking process, it's integrated.
Yet, at the same time, I almost never actually say the chuuni things I'm thinking of. Just the very idea makes me feel cringe. People don't have to listen to whatever goes on in my head, and I certainly don't have to set loose the streams of my soul for swine and plebs to bathe in. So it's sealed.
Unless I'm completely misunderstanding chuuni, and it's just dressing weird and making up stuff about evil eyes. I never did that one.

Because when someone turns right it HAS to be because of the parents. I bet it also means that someone abused WILL ABSOLUTELY become an abuser, then? This way we'll have the whole cheap psychology covered, at least.

Just in case you didn't notice, Kurisu tends to be TOO self-sacrificing. It's not even only in S;G with Mayuri, Okabe asks the same question to Amadeus in 0 and the answer is more or less the same. Just because she says that it's "thanks to [x]", it doesn't mean that it's accurate and even less so in a way that is so absolute. Kurisu is more or less a Jesus that tries to hide under a mask of a tsundere jerk.
>>

>>
>>151466525
No, especially not when it comes to science. It's pretty much the opposite to be honest; when you love someone, you try to save them from their mistakes, too. If tomorrow I want to drive after 2l of vodka, if someone argue with me, he doesn't hate me. He cares about me.
The same reasoning can be appllied for absolutely any debate. Especially in science, where you're not supposed to "keep an idea just because you find it cute"; someone close REALLY taking the time to analyse your paper might very well shows that the perso care about it and you.
what's the worst thing that coul happen: debating with her father's errors here and now, or 20 others scientists saying him that he's stupid for not noticing them afterward?

And it's not "thinking you're superior" since it's SUPPOSED to go both ways, when one of the two people isn't stupid, arrogant and insecure.

By the way, yeah, and?
It's probably the case for a lot of people in the world, especially when the kid had a better education than the parents had. Do they take it as "he's not respecting me"? Especially since Kurisu DID made a lot of efforts on her side when it comes to him.
>>
>>151466675
Well why couldn't she give him full credit? She's willing to give her life for a friend, but not to help as a scientist to another? She'd be alive if she had been selfless then. But that's the issue here, that scientist part of her, that wanted to be acknowledged. The person side of her is what made her throw herself between Okabe and Nakabachi at the end, though.
>>
>>151466839

>>
>>151466839
But as much as anything, it would be dishonest to sign over full credit for it. Partial credit is stretching the truth as it is. Kurisu believes in a very pure brand of science and it just would not line up with her morals or ideals.
It's also fair to want your name on the paper you wrote that basically proves time travel as not only theoretically possible but reasonably achievable.
>>
>>151466739
Which is why she didn't tell him to get the fuck out and he was, indeed, probably an example for her in a lot of ways, since she tends to do things in her own way, too; she was studying time machines after all, despite it being something not really well-liked in science.
So she probablly really meant it, both for this and because of her education (and this is IF he really was nice; from what I remember from old drama CDs he wasn't, but he was really TRYING to be nice at least though; credit when it's due).
But in a family of scientists, there should be no fucking situation where arguing (without it being mean-spirited, of course) is "disrespecting you". As long as the person is at the very least listening to you If that's how you take it you just have absolutely no place in this kind of job ,
>>
>>151466750
I guess we simply grew up in different households. My father is similar to Nakabachi in some worrying ways - he can give you all the love in the world, as long as you don't defy him or disrespect him. And he has a huge ego when it comes to his work. So I understand what its like to be in Kurisu's shoes. The only thing she had to do is keep her mouth shut.
>>
>>151466863
She was ready to kill herself so Mayuri could live. I'd say that's pretty fucking selfless in that regard.
>>
>>151466839
Because she fucking respects him, like it or not, to the point of dying in order to protect him, and therefore she didn't think he'd do something so stupid to begin with. To her they weren't "at war" SO much, even if they had a lot of trouble. Basically despite their background she still thought he was a better human being than he is. But yeah, Nakabachi is a poor dude.

>>
>>151466909
I also don't think arguing was the issue. He saw she was right, and that hurt even more. Like I said with Maho, it turned her understanding upside down when she met Kurisu. Now imagine that's your daughter, age whatever, being smarter than YOU. How would that make you feel, if you've worked your whole life to get so far, and have built a big ego in the process?

>>
>>151467016
But like I said, if I don't fuck up, I have everything I want - food, money, cars, PC parts, whatever.
>>
>>151466941
My whole family was. Let alone the fact that it was also in a very patronizing way, "it was like that back then so it's the way to do it". And, so what?
Despite a LOT of things because of this, all of them pretty bad, I didn't let it be this way and guess what? It took way; way more than 10 years, but it the end because it wasn't "normal so nobody has anything to say about it", things went at the very least a little better, which I don't care about but it also helped both of my parents to be a little less... ""ass-holish"", so to say, which helped them a lot in their life, social, work whatever.

Just because you grow up in something, it doesn't mean that it's perfectly fine and yo have to agree with it, and even more importantly that it's right.
Loving people also means making it so that they don't make mistakes that could ruin their life. This includes "because of their ego" and everything else around.

Otherwise it's not "love", it's "not giving a fuck just so that [x] doesn't tell me anything". Which is something everyone usually does even with strangers.

The sad part is that a lot of parents are more or less like that if less extreme, in real life too. I can't change the man. He's had a real shitty childhood, but I've expressed how I feel and since then, he's been a bit better, as he understands how I feel. All my argument was that I know how a man like Nakabachi thinks and feels, so his actions were justified from his viewpoint. Doesn't make him a better human.
>>
>>151467269
She outshines him and that annoys him to no end, since he's an egomaniacal bitch.
>>
>>151467356
Everyone's actions are justified from their own PoV. Even the most dangerous fanatic you'll ever see. Doesn't change the fact that even despite "what he feels" the guy just shouldn't work in anything science-related, if being corrected by someone of (at least) your level (because being told by a retard WOULD be a lot more annoying over time but it's not what happens at all here) is a problem. That goes against the very idea of what science is.
>>
>>151467458
The issue that due to his ego, Nakabachi considers everyone as lesser beings, as idiots, so when he gets corrected by someone like that, he can't accept it. This being his one, only daughter that he cared so much for made it all the worse for him. So it all comes down to the size of his enormous ego.

Now I'll agree that Nakabachi was a piece of shit. Especially in the beta worldline. But he didn't seem to be originally that bad. If you haven't already, you guys should check out the "Steins;Gate - Babel of the Grieved Maze" manga or drama CD. You find out he actually had a reason to be obsessed with time machines and that having his theory rejected by his daughter was over more than just pride.

Chuuni gets hardcountered by real-life, where most of gets ground up and remains inside you, as a part of you. At least that's what was with me.

I fucking hate these drama Cds or whatever. So they record the lines, and instead of adding them to the VN, they release them as just audio. What the fuck?

>>
>>151468662

>>
>>151467562
Then nobody will complain about what you're saying and everyone is more or less OK.
It's just that Kurisu's biggest mistake isn't that "she should publish the paper under his name", it's that she thought his father was a better person than he actually is. That's about it. Her "flaw" is being, so to say even if she's not my favorite (Maho and Farisfag reporting in), "too good for this world" and mabe way TOO family-oriented.

>>151467703
>>151466158
Basically, and hence the name by the way, if you want a good meaning for chhuni, look at how a 8 or 9 years old behave (it's one of the feww things Chu2koi did right). Sure, from a "typical" PoV it can just look ike being immature but in another way you can see it as a way to make life more interesting or to help you cope with how life is shit sometimes (cf. Kyouma). It doesn't HAVE TO BE a negative thing IMO, it depends of how it's applied in the end. Well, it's a complicated matter but you probably get the point with the "young kid" meaning.

>>151467761
The guy TRIED to be a good father IIRC from side materials. It's just that he never really succeeded and even if he did, he went so far with his failures and his refusal of seeing his own flaws that it's hard too forgive him for this from an external PoV.
The guy tried, he just wasn't good enough.
Which leads me back to my original point; he could have been an "ok" gu if he wasn't working in science because that's exactly how you are NOT supposed to be in this field.
"Supposed" sadly because this kind of reasoning is far from uncommon in science nowadays even IRL.

>>151468031
Then you can also hate them for not putting S;G0 in S;G. Drama cd are just a kind of expanded universe most of the time and that's about it. Of course for westerners it's way worse since they usually don't get an official translation, if they get any at all. But in Japan is just like your random star wars novel done after the original that you can buy in any big store.

Well, at least you would suffer the same hell as he.

>>
>>151469121
I don't know,it seemed obvious for me, but yeah, then again given how they did it and how doing any more "sequel" would be hard, ESPECIALLY after Deja Vu already doing that, I think they did that so that they'll have some room for other sequels/spin-off similar to 0 later if they want to. I works as it is right now and they can ALSO change things if they want to, it's just perfect for them.

Then again, and once again and that's what is a little frightening IMO especially because I just finished Occultic;nine, trying to get "everything" with just a part of 0 just doesn't work (Stratfor is a joke without Gehenna, Kagari is one without some parts of most routes, as an example). I'm quite cared of the anime because of this, because promised+vega just doesn't cut it for everything, and we'll probably have tons of anime-only viewers being annoying (understandably) about how "it's nonsense" because of this. I hope I'm wrong but given 0's structure, it's a very real risk.

Because she WAS one of the most interesting character with the memory hijacks but they decided to stop this plot point halfway. Is was great if a little hard to understand for some. You just need to understand that "extra endings" are not "extra endings" but all of them are more or less needed to get the point about everything,(which WILL be a problem with the anime), but once you get that it was imo better than the first S;G.
The usual opinion is either just a bit better than S;G, either a bit worse but still great,it just cannot compare to the original.

It's very enjoyable.
Previously underdeveloped characters are given more attention. Has some very unexpected moments, both sad and uplifting. It stands at around 30/40 hours.

I think it was slightly superior to Steins;Gate.

It was an engrossing and interesting experience. I liked the attention that characters both major and minor got throughout. Unfortunately there are some particularly egregious missed opportunities which is a shame. Overall it was a great VN, just not quite as good as the original.

Also Maho is a miracle of the universe.

That too, but that one scene where she's wearing a blouse and bends over and you can see her tits and all should've been better. We got a shower scene, but not even a partial front view. Because the nips are still slightly butthurt about being dominated militarily and culturally by burgers for the better part of a century, hate themselves for liking it, and only know about America because it is the most relevant western power to be involved in their political disputes with their own neighbors.

They are frightened of Russia, have ancient animosity towards China and Korea, and a weird superiority complex towards SE Asian countries, so they feel like America is a safe punching bag, because America is easy-going about that kind of thing. Yamato Damashi is a truly stupid sentiment on the likes of American chest-beating patriotism and it is still subtly perpetuated by classic Japanese media, and mangaka and the like are suckers for that shit.

Japanese still consider themselves uber-relevant in the 20th century, and that is increasingly not the case, considering that their global neighborhood is swelling to a ridiculous point, and it's becoming harder for Japan to stand out economically, culturally, and financially in the 21st century with all that competition.

I'm still a weeb, though. Can't get enough of those colorful cartoons :^)

>>
>>151481844
I'm still sort of confused as to why Okabe had that dream in the original SG. Is it just Reading Steiner giving him the memories of all the other Okabes in the other world lines?

I assumed that Reading Steiner was more linear, in that memories of the current world line are retained whenever there's a switch to a newer world line. If Okabe has faint memories of the Okabe in the true end that goes back into the past, then wouldn't that also mean he has faint memories of a nearly infinite amount of Okabes in all of the other world lines?
>>
>>151445931
look through my history and you'll find legitimate bestiality. idk what you were expecting to find by snooping through someone's Internet history. that's your own fault.
>>
>>151481687
It was okay but for some reason they decided that you needed to see all the fucking drama CDs to understand everything fully. Also with jumping around characters and how the endings work it can get very confusing quickly. The main plot is also quite short with the rest being "what if's". It's nothing like the first where the plot is always advancing forward with a clear indicator of a ending. The translation is also quite lazy this time around.

Pile all that onto a REALLY SHITTY true end length wise and explanation wise (many unanswered questions but maybe those are in the goddamn drama cds) leaves you with a mediocre experience.

It's more about her appearance+personality combo that makes her so appealing to me, not really the whole scientist shtick (even though I do realize it's an important part of her character and personality).

Also the amount of girls you can find in Science-oriented courses is very low. Out of a 100 people class there's maybe 10 girls, and 8 of them look like boys. This is mostly true for Maths and Physics, though... Medicine (and, most importantly in our case, Neuroscience) are a bit more popular with girls.

The sooner you realize the truth of this world, the sooner you can accept it and seek an appropriate waifu. Or rebel against fate like Okabe, and see if it crushes you eventually. Sadly enough, even in science-related studies nowwadays a lot of people just have nothing to do here and don't follow a proper scientific PoV. It's particularly apparent in physics. It makes meeting interesting people really hard EVEN if you hang out in places wwith this kind of people. It makes people like Maho or Kurisu, more interested in pure science than in "what I learned, which is a tool for my paycheck", or "if things get too weird for my own world view then science is at fault", almost impossible to meet, period.

Right, I find it funny that is usually isn't considered as an acceptable "style" (even when it comes to clothes etc) compared to some other weird things that wil probably be way uglier, but since it's "fashion" it's "ok". I find some people who are "neglected" (like Maho to stay on-topic) quite cute, in a way more natural way than some others, but it looks like it's one of the only things you absolutely cannot say around people if you don't want all kinds of annoyng remarks here and there. Removing their ork park to Maho and Kurisu would make them lose a LOT of charm points IMO (and the same goes for Okabe to be honest)

It's actually watchable without a problem, which is rare enough to be mentioned. I liked it in a "fanservice way", "you always wanted this scene animated, and WELL animated? There you go".

The anime is pretty solid and stands on its own legs, but you'll probably be disappointed if you try to compare it to the VN constantly since they cut out a decent bit of content to fit the overall story into 24 episodes.

That said, it's still great to see the characters fully animated. They do the VN justice.

As far as adaptations go, it's acceptable. For the sake of pacing and some censorship, it rushes and somewhat mangles chapters 7, 8, and 9, though.

I only watched the first episode so far and it seems to really rush the Beta Worldline prologue.

A lot of thing are lacking (Kurisu and the details about time travel in her lecture, as an example) but it's not much of a problem story-wise. Mose of the important things are here. Of course some parts will be skipped, that's obvious, but the overall quality didn't really suffer as a result.

Going to attempt to scan in my copy of huke's visual works 5 since I don't see most of the art online anywhere.

Here's a scan of one of the pages using basic settings, just wish I knew how to mess with the settings for better quality.

That's enough. I cannot keep living in a world in which Kurisu doesn't exist. See you in anime afterlife.

Death is nothingness. Life is imagination, change and hope. Only one of those has Kurisu.
