Speaking of the manga, I want to ask you two about how you put the manga together. I hear Toriyama-sensei checks the storyboards for each chapter.
Toriyama: That’s right.


Back when Toriyama-sensei was drawing the manga, the animators would use his manga panels as reference, imitating the composition and things like that. And now it seems that the animators are likewise using Toyotaro-sensei‘s manga as reference.

Why is Hit on a SSB / SSGSS / potentially closest to Beerus-tier level out of all the current S-fighters?

Realistically speaking he doesn't have God Ki. How could Hit be so powerful as to easily overshadow Majin Buu (the most powerful creature without god ki in the series)? And I'm not talking about the Time Stop shit. I'm talking about his base form being nearly on par with SSB (easily miles above Buu or anyone else who made an appearance thus far). His base form is too damn strong considering everything we know about how power is accumulated and where power comes from. Freeza was written as a mutant freak who was born with an abnormally large power (and after training for only a short time he surpassed early SSB), Cell had to acquire his power from absorbing other bio-forms designed to boost his abilities that were already engineered from all of the greatest warriors' cells to begin with, and Buu was created by an evil demonic wizard with all kinds of dark magic and was essentially pure malice incarnate that couldn't even be properly controlled. All of these villains were powerful because of reasons. None of them had God Ki. Hit doesn't, either. Even considering his "improvement" shit it doesn't make sense!

Yes, I know. Fuck powerlevels. But seriously, how can someone with no God Ki be THAT strong? Even considering Zamasu, who had God Ki, he was considered to be one of the most powerful Kaioshin and Goku had to go SSJ to beat him. After that in order to power up he stole Goku's body and all of that bullshit occurred. Why is Hit so bloody strong for no goddamn, explainable reason?

Think about God Ki as a spiritual boost to the natural physical boost of Super Saiyan.

ie. It's still strongly dependent on Goku and Vegeta's base form strength.

Keep in mind that someone like Kiaoshin and maybe even King Kai probably have access to "god Ki" being technically gods. And Gohan could probably slap his shit in with one hand.

We hardly even have confirmation that They could beat Majiin Buu in this form. Honestly if Goku went up against Super Buu(with absorptions) in this form he might still be evenly matched. The problem is we don't know how much god ki adds to them. Beerus tends to go easy on them and Whis just floats around dodging them so it's difficult to even know how large the gap between them is.

Freeza doesn't have godly ki, either, even when he's in his gold form. His ki is so naturally powerful he doesn't need it. I'm presuming that Hit is like Freeza and is some strange xeno mutant that lucked out. Honestly, I hope godly ki never becomes too powerful that only people with godly ki can fight them. It already puts more limits on the already large scale of power levels from those who are the lower side of it. Krillin and Tien aren't even on level of untrained Freeza. What do you think could have caused him to go ssj2?There just wasn't any other stimulus, also he wasn't as strong as present gohan when the latter turned ssj2 so there is that.
