It was basically Yui trying to use Yukino's weakness against her in order to get 8man as a lover and Yukino to stay her friend despite it. 8man saw through it and told her Yui no, but Yui meant for it to be turned down. She proposed it to Yukino so Yukino could turn it down herself or to bait 8man into acting. Yui really didn't intend on going through with her plan, she is too nice for it.

Yui started liking him since the first few episodes. Yukino didn't until the last few episodes but it isn't to the same degree as Yui's. 8man has kind of had to work for Yukino but Yui feel in his lap and would gladly fall on top of his lap if he told her to. Seems a little too easy, no? Yui would be his loyal, loving, and willing girlfriend on command.

I think Yui will lose based on the fact that she has such a low bar for having a successful relationship with and these stories tend to have the girl who realizes her feelings late and more barriers to their relationship win. Yukino's story isn't really about romance so maybe there is hope for Yui.
