The GX-based characters don't have anything going on, like Judai and Asuka, who never passed the platonic base. And Judai even became official couple with someone else.

Yeah, except the legacy trainers are mostly just cameos. The most involved anyone gets is Sina and Dexio, who only show up twice (once to give you the Zygarde quest and another to give you Megas), and Anabel, who is a key figure in a postgame quest. Red and Green show up to kick your ass around in the battle tree, but that's postgame content.

SM is how Arc-V should've handled the nostalgia characters: They're there and they do stuff, but none of it is terribly important to the MC's main journey.

There's so many ways to search, or do a similar thing without fulfilling the requirement for Hope Zexal so that's not really a valid excuse on Konami's part.

For example, a card can set a RUM from the deck instead of searching for it, put restrictions on what can be SS'd after searching, or technically activate the RUM from the deck in a similar way to Mizael's Neutrino Dousing trap card.

All this talk about Crow returning, Asuka not, and Anzu being more "relevant" than her, make me think.

She used a fairy deck, which is why it was total BS that she literally didn't know any cards in the virtual world.
Asuka being less relevant isn't really such a bad thing. Anzu not being a duelist doesn't make her less relevant, and that paradigm is part of the reason why a lot of the writing from DM onwards isn't as good as it could be (though it can't be helped, since it's a symptom of being a glorified commercial).

You mean Resonator/RDA turbo?
I wouldn't really give either the advantage without a bunch of testing. Optimal forms of both decks use stuff from the other (although only a little bit of classic yusei.dek now) and both are weaker than Dark Synchro.
Based on my gut feeling, I would say that Stardust has the best end board, but RDA has a better 'middle ground' or 'I ran out of stuff so I only have some level 8's out' level plays.
Either way, I could swap out the boss cards in the extra deck and it mostly wouldn't matter for the main because synchro spam is so centralized now.

I never understood why they didn't make Pendulum cards to support Ritual Summoning with their Pendulum effects. You could get a great archetype based on Ritual and Pendulum summoning which uses the Pendulum effect as the Ritual Spell.

My wish is that Konami comes out and announces that they planned a Ritual dimension but scrapped it but at least as a gift release the prototype (or a modded finished version) of the Ritual dragon, (its upgrade,) and a Ritual Pendulum Magician/Paladin (Stargazer) that can negate Zarc's Nomi effect and Pendulum Summon him once per Duel or something.
