Also thanks to the anon that sent pic related. It seems I didn't list enough anime preferences because both chose something LoGH related (although I'm certainly not complaining!) I know things are often described as heartwarming, but I actually felt a warmth in my chest after getting these in the mail. Peeled & sliced around 30 apples using one of those gizmos to core & peel & slice made for pie fillings.

Mixed up Water:Honey:Sugar in a pot 4:2:1.
Boiled the water, turned the heat down to medium.
Added the sugar & honey & apple slices, stirred until the sugar was dissolved... around 10 minutes.

Turned the heat down to minimum, started transfering the mixture into mason jars and adding some spices. a pinch of allspice, 1 whole clove, and a chunk of cinnamon stick. Filled the jar a little under 1/2 way with the apples, added the liquid to about 1/2 inch from the top.

Added the lid, did the typical canning boil to seal the jars.

How does it feel getting grinched? And no, it's not gonna arrive tomorrow. You wont get a Christmas miracle.
