I was hooked at the start too, especially because I loved the mangaka's previous work, but it turns to medicocrity after the time skip, and becomes just another shounen where instead of having a parternership or balanced roles the author spends 90% of the time sucking the MC's dick.
Seriously, the most interesting thing is the MC duo, even though separate their are boring, and he threw that away.

The manga is shit too though. Benio in particular gets even worse treatment than in the anime.

Nahh the manga is alright, but it suffers pacing issues since it pulls off action quite well, the slow segments end up being tenuous. The development of best couple is great, but the lack of overall direction for the sake of mystery killed my interest on the wait. It would be better if smaller things get foreshadowed into the larger picture.

Are they suppose to look so futuristic? They look like they're from that action looney tunes show from the kids wb. They wore black with color outlines too
