Thoust double digits confirm thine suspicions.

It probably is overrated and sorta cliche
but I love it anyway, pretty much everything about it just feels righttoo bad S2 will never happen, there's more than enough manga content for it

I don't know the anime, but the manga is gold.

It's pretty well adapted, you should give it a look. VA casting is perfect.
>tfw we finally met her dad.
Kind of a jerk, t.b.h

wait what was the deal with her dad? It was pretty obvious that Naru's parents weren't dead or anything or else they would've mentioned it in the episode where they visited her grandma's grave at the cemetary?

He works on an offshore oil rig. I think her mom died while he was gone, so grandpa started raising her. Dad can only make it home during Christmas. When he came home, Naru obviously didn't recognize him easily. Now he just avoids her because he feels so heartbroken.

I should catch up on this at some point, I dropped off during a bit where the blonde haired one was looking for work outside the island

Whats more comfier Udon no Kuni no Kiniro, or BaraKamon
>>151070816
Maybe it doesn't count because it follows an actual parent-child duo but Amaama no Inazuma's another similar sorta thing. The girl in it looks like a long-haired Naru and is voiced by Hina, coincidentally.

Udon. Even the adult issues mesh nicely while barakamon's handa bullying made the healing feel milder.
I miss this show and I miss Handa.

still my favorite opening.
