What the fuck was her problem?

She's a chuuni that took the whole "i'll look cool if I sleep in class" too far. it all started when she had a couple people laugh at it then just continuously did it to the point where she doesn't even know when to stop and people stopped caring. its the entire reason she originally wanted the nap club. she wanted to have the attention she had at first for being the humorous girl who always sleeps. its why she so easily fell into their club. Shes such a chuuni that no one else even realized it.

Nah, what's more likely is that she lives with her widowed mother who became an alcoholic after her father died. Her mother resents her because after she was born her father began working late to help earn enough money to let her mom stay home. He was driving home one night after a 12 hour shift, fell asleep at the wheel, and wrecked his car. As a result, her mother is very abusive and keeps kumin locked up in her room, only letting her out to go to school. Kumin doesn't eat well and thus doesn't sleep well. She also has to sneak out and take care of her mother and watch her so that she doesn't choke on her own vomit or die of alcohol poisoning. So Kumin spends all night awake trying to help save her mom who spends all their income on booze and takeout food. At school Kumin gets subsidized lunches and when she eats those the sugar balance in her blood falls out of whack and she gets extremely tired.

She also faces extreme abuse at home from her mother who screams at her and blames her for everything that happens around the house. Kumin's mom is typically blackout drunk and will wander around the house wailing and calling Kumin a horrible bitch for killing her father. It's all pretty sad, but the neighbors won't do anything. At this point, Kumin is certain her neighbors actually agree with her mother and blame Kumin for the death of her father.
