When will we get Season 2?

Does it really matter? I mean, LN translation is catching up to latest volume and the LN is a hell of a lot better.

>What happens after the anime?
A few spoilers about 'recent' happenings:
Maou's angel nanny drops a baby bomb onto maou/emi that's apparently a baby born from a fragment of 'yesod' which is in turn some kind of jewel grown from the tree of life or something along those lines? If you think that that sounds convoluted, it's because it is.

Baby hijinks ensue, an archangel drops down to earth to try and grab the baby back, Maou kowtows and begs the angel to let them keep the baby, shit hits the fan, they start fighting, the fucking baby fuses with Emi's sword/armor and she becomes super OP. Kind of sucks that Maou's role in all this seems to be ever dimishing

Mgronalds closes down temporarily for renovation, so maou and co. travel to a beach house run by the landowner's niece, turns out that this family is all super OP, probably even stronger than Maou maybe. Turns out that there's some monkey business brewing with Olba and Enta Isla. Olba apparently escaped back to the island and is somehow convincing demons to go rampaging around, waging wars on people in promises of great power, yada yada yada. Recycled villains much?

And so on so forth. Chiho learns holy magic, Maou is even more irrelevant, Emi finds out that Maou didn't really kill her dad, etc. etc.

I hope it gets one, it was a legitimately fun series to follow. Also judging from what I've heard about the LN material, there seems to be some fun stuff to adapt.

Yeah, no doubt those part was very dry, though I do love their beach shenanigans.
I'd say vol. 8-10 were easily the best part, plenty of great things happening. Quite sad that the story gets quite underwhelming after that though.

Anon I promise you if you were to read the LN's from the first one to the the one that has been translated so far (Volume 6), then you would see how shit of a job they did to adapt the LN. It actually is a LN you can enjoy that isn't isekai shit.

Enta Isla's heaven and hell are actually moons of the planet


Heaven was the moon of a third planet, that had a Tree of Life (kabbalistic version) on it

The angels are scientist/wizards from that third planet who stole the moon and the tree's powers to become god like. They then moved the moon to Enta Isla and set themselves up as the figures of worship by the population there


Demons actually originated as experiments that the angels did on humans (for reasons?)

The first Satan was the angel queen's husbando (Lucifer is their kid) who decided shit was getting too fucked up and led the demons in a rebellion against heaven

They failed and the demons got stuck on the hell moon


The baby is a Sephirot that Emi's mother stole

She ended up giving it to Maou, because hes such a good guy
