With less than a week till the final episode, I'm starting to theorize about exactly how they'll execute the long-overdue confession. Maybe Yuri will actually manage to get gold, and when Victor reunites with him he'll bring up the whole "Because I won gold, are we really going to get married?" and that's when he confesses he was going to do it all along, whether or not he placed. Maybe the big confession will come right before Yuri's last skate, and the last motivating push he needs to ace the entire thing and win gold. Maybe it fucks up his focus completely and he ether doesn't win gold or doesn't even make the podium, but it doesn't matter because he has Victor now and forever. Will they somehow get their pair skate? Will the confession come with that? Will there be a beautiful kiss scene? I don't even know.

I think they're setting up for the scenerio where Yuuri places on podium but doesn't get gold, so that he realizes that it was never about the gold medal, Victor was going to stay with him no matter what.

At the very least, Yuuri is going to do an emotional and moving FS that will convey his feelings toward Victor (as the previews and ep summary seems to suggest), and I think that their most sweet moment will come after that. That would probably be where we get a confession scene.

I am thinking he will probably get a consolation prize ending and be happy overall, it's just that the ominous scene with Victor watching him makes me worried they are going to pull something dramatic.
