I don't think it did. I'm actually pretty sure the WN says they're just a little smaller than Emilia's, and it actually comes up several times in discussion. It even gets brought up in Arc 6, when someone calls Ram flat-chested. Her reply is that because Rem is big, it all evens out and makes it perfect.

Now, both maids are pretty damn small in general stature, so it's easily possible for Rem to have smaller breasts than Emilia but have them be proportionately larger.

The LN version mixed the first two Elsa loops and ended there iirc. Next volume comes out on the 24th which is fast for a LN release. Just a little under 2 months since the last one. Lots of things were shifted around. It's no longer a secret that Garf is Freddie's brother. Garf offhandedly mentions he doesn't smell anything unusual about Subaru and Otto. I don't think that's really the whole thing, or even all that accurate. His ego is definitely involved in the beginning, and Emilia was seemingly the perfect waifu tailored to all of his fetishes. The thing is, there's an impression I got looking at Subaru's internal monologues about Emilia. I think he's somewhat attached to the idea of her as an "unattainable flower", even if she might actually be quite easy to attain for him at this point. It's been a year without much apparent progress, and I don't think that's actually Emilia's fault. That line of thought is followed up by Subaru admitting to himself that he wouldn't be ready for a relationship even if Emilia was.

Really, how does he describe Emilia in the first trial? A silver light pulling him forward into an unknown future, or a light at the end of the tunnel to make all of the suffering worth it? Something of that nature. The point is, I think Subaru likes Emilia as someone to chase after, as a beacon to run towards, but one he doesn't actually want to get too close to. If he ever caught her, what would he have left to chase after?
