I would argue that Moomins is the embodiment of Finland as a people and culture. Snufkin (Pipo) is their mythology of wanting to be left alone and not be around others. I grew up watching the cartoon and reading a bit of the comic on the side and watching it while also finishing the comic gave me a greater appreciation for both.

Contrary to popular belief, K-on does not make for an amazing war drama. The way the conflict was resolved disgusted me to my very core.

And while I kinda liked Moomin while watching it, the general lack of any catharsis makes it hard for me to care about it in the long run. The dad never finished his memoirs, Moomin never got to tag along with Snusmumriken, the romance never really amounted to anything etc. I want a sense of progress and resolution even in slice of life basically. Moomin lacked too much in that.

First thoughts: haha you're really into this duality thing huh.
I can't really say whether you're right or wrong of course, it's very unpredictable. Your judgement of foreshadowing is correct, but I can't help but think there's an giant twist lurking underneath the story that will just destroy everything. That's fine anyways, it's the nature of the story. It's still fun to try and guess.

Your first prediction is that Guts will choose to stay with Casca and try to forget about Griffith. I think that's an easy guess, seeing as Guts pretty much already made that decision when he chased after her when the second eclipse happened. And again when he escaped on the boat (I love that scene there where Guts just stares out at where Griffith is). But then just staying on Elfheim would go nowhere so something forces them to all go back and fight Griffith, is your prediction. What do you think would be this force driving them to go back? Something like the elf king asking them or the island getting attacked maybe?

One of my favorite Berserk ideas is that when Casca gets her mind back she'll just go fucking NUTS, berserk with rage. Guts will have to confront someone that was just like him, unable to see anything but revenge. And her charging back after Griffith might be that "force" that brings them back to the mainland.

Yeah, going back by boat again would probably take too long. Though a small timeskip might not be so bad. JRPG heroes adventuring back through the mainland would be fun I agree with that for sure.

The marks only being on the head thing, I like your theory but that one might just be you overthinking it. Even if they inflicted the marks on themselves I don't think we're ever going to get a flashback or skullknight storytime that shows for certain what went on in the past. But it's possible.

Always thought of just Skully=Guts, Void=Griffith because one uses destiny and one opposes destiny. But it's more complicated than that huh. The parallels run in the opposite direction as you say.

So you've kind of cornered the ending down to either Guts succumbing to fate or Guts defying fate. I'd be fine with any kind of good or bad ending honestly. I'll agree with your assessments of the meta as well, I don't think there can be any in between. Unless Miura makes it open ended, "did Guts really win?" Something like him defeating the God Hand, but a last panel reveals a surviving behelit left in the dirt or something corny like that...

You didn't talk much about the other God Hand in your video. Slan, Conrad, Ubik. I've been expecting them each to have their own showdown at some point with the JRPG part. Where they may or may not be struck down. The insanity one interests me especially, Ubik I think. How will he fuck around with them? Would make for a very interesting battle.

I'll throw in another shill for the Rance games. There's actually a fucking idea of evil hidden in the story, that you can try and challenge. So damn good. It explains why the world is so violent and terrible, and it explains meta-systems like levels and skills.

I had a big idea myself of a possible occurrence in Berserk. It's corny and not built on any foreshadowing so don't take me seriously here. But I thought, sometimes in these stories about "fate" pulling the strings the only way to defeat fate is to fuck around with time. To use time to oppose things that "have to happen". So what if in some way Griffith is brought back from the past? To challenge the present Griffith/Femto. And to mess around with causality. This is mostly me missing the days of Guts/Griffith bromance.

Something like that. I honestly have no idea. I know it's 'something' but I can't predict it at all. Griffith and Guts are on the opposite sides of the world. Something will make both ends meet in the middle. I don't know if it'll be Griffith attacking, or the fantasy monsters overflowing to the point where they need to be stopped. I didn't mention it in the video because it's not hinted at all, so I just kept it vague.

Oh yes, I subscribe very much to that idea. The Eternal Recurrence. I was very tempted to add it in the video but couldn't fit it anywhere. It's the notion that events endlessly repeat over and over dualistically. Jacob's ladder is also representative of this dualistic view of time.

Oh. That battle is actually predictable.
All of the God Hand have obvious literary archetypes they are based on. Conrad is like Minister Foss who manipulates and convinces people with words alone. Slan is the whore of Babylon whom men would throw their entire fortune for a night with her, as she slept with any men who interested her. Ubik is the only one who's past I can't figure out but he seems very psychological. He reminds me of Freud and Hugo Strange from Batman. Probably the glasses.
From what we've seen of Ubik's power, he can go into the subconscious mind of people, as shown with Griffith during the Eclipse.
There's a cool moment in one of the Berserk games where Guts has to fight the Band of the Hawk. I predict something like that will happen. Ubik will make everyone face their subconscious as he messes around and giggles. Having the protagonist face their inner selves is a trope that I love to death. It would be hilarious to see Guts destroy his own psyche just to kill Ubik inside his subconscious.

Also, Ubik is insanely overpowered considering he can open a portal to the past, so perhaps he can do the same for the future

Also, cute bit of trivia, when Skull Knight merges the world, you see the God Hand appearing to the physical world. Among them, you see Ubik dining in the ass of a monster surrounded by weird looking creatures. This is a reference to the Garden of Delight by Bosch.
On the left, Paradise. In the middle, our regular world. And on the right, the Apocalypse, Revelation. Hence, by merging the Astral and Physical world, the God Hand are bringing the Apocalypse with them.

Just in case no one understood the reference.
