Nah, Zexal was constantly full of life and energy all the way from its knucleheaded protagonist to its beautiful animation and everything in between. It wasn't some dead dog waiting to be put out of its misery like Arc-V. Kamishiro did write for it but he just wrote a few episodes unlike Yoshida who was actually head writer and did most of the scripts. Yes, Yoshida is shit but my god is he better than Kamishiro who can't structure a story for shit. He also understands YGO better than Kamishiro as well. As far as directing goes, Kuwabara at least has more skill than Ono when directing. He does work hard and put in the effort compared to lazy ass Ono who's already got other projects lined up so he's skimping out on Arc-V for easy $$$.

Yoshida may be a hack, but I never got that he was actively resentful of whatever he was doing. Most of Kamishiro's episodes on Zexal were minor (the only important duel being Shark vs IV), so you're retardedly or disingenuously inflating the influence he had on the show.

Yoshida for the most part seemed like a good little peon who muddled through exec mandates to the best of his limited storytelling abilities.

Japanese animation is a labor-intensive industry, so most anime--especially long-running ones--weren't made with heart, regardless of the themes of the show in question. Each new monster is meant to symbolize something. OEReD wa meant to show Yuto and Yuya's bond, starting out with nothing at first and just contained rage. As Yuya and Yuto became nakama, the dragon may have not won battles, but it was completely under Yuya's control excluding Shock Therapy with Roger. Raging shows Yuto and Yuya losing all control and giving into Zarc's hate.

This could have just as easily been conveyed with Rebellion and extra evil aura and someone commenting that Yuya's never looked so angry or some such shit. There's no special reason for it to exist besides that Konami needed a cover card for that month.

Practice a few things, obviously. Solid colors should work for Requiem, so it wouldn't be different, but digital with slight transparency would be better. Stained glass windows don't have weird shading or anything; they're just transparent and shiny.
