I feel like viz had a better translation his time around and thats saying fucking something
Ole Golazo >>150859452
Anyone got the full WSJ cover? Look at this shit. Always fucking embarrassing.
Kek they cut off more than half of the characters..this makes me wonder: what if there is an Isobe cover for example? Thet recycle some old One Piece one? Also thanks a ton for Neverland!
Does anyone else really dislike bakugou? I haven't liked him throughout the duration of the series.
>Beats the shit out of deku every day of their childhood
>Deku still saves him from that sludge monster
>I-I didn't need your help useless deku
>Gets extremely jealous and butthurt when All Might recognizes dekus potential.
Im not a huge deku fan at all, but Bakugou is insufferable sometimes.
You missed my point entirely.
It's not that I'm complaining that they aren't showing things they don't translate, but the fact that this is all they translate (thus resulting in a near-empty cover) definitely looks embarrassing to me, and always has.
Jump isn't a huge magazine, and yet this is the max they have.
the only thing I actually "don't like" about Bakugou is that Deku actually swallows all his shit
it's unrealistic: he treats him as a friend/rival when in actuality Bakugou was basically his bully for most of his life
But, WSJ: we need rivals!
why do you keep missing the point
What is the matter with you? Would I like Viz to translate every series in Jump? Yeah, preferably: it wouldn't be that hard, but they'd have to increase the price for subscription I bet. Do I think a barren cover highlights the lack of series they actually translate? Absolutely.
I'd probably dislike Bakugo if the series played him up to be SUPER AWESOME. Instead, they kind of admit a lot of things about him are heavily flawed and straight up wrong (ie, him failing the license test, something nobody thought would happen). The problem is that Hori hasn't really had him grow or change from these experiences and I think this fight is probably the last chance I'm going to give Baku to stop being a shit because if he doesn't grow up a little bit more after getting his shit kicked in by Deku, I'm going to wonder what the fuck Hori is doing
This is pretty much my issue with Bakugou too. He saw how better the students were during the Hero/Villain test, showed sadness when he listened in on Todoroki explaining why he was born, and recently, wondering if almost everything he believed in was wrong. But every time he opens his mouth, especially towards Deku, he's like the same guy from Chapter 1. I'm hoping this fight will finally have him actually progress as a character instead of just saying one line and then returning to normal.
>showed sadness when he listened in on Todoroki explaining why he was born
l don't think it was sadness, more like shock, and whatever empathy he felt at that time was rather short lived anyway as he immediately used todoroki's family situation as a way to provoke him so he'd give his all during their fight
anyway l agree about the fact this fight must have some sort of consequence on his development because his whole shtick is getting extremely old
VIZ really needs to step it up and increase the resolution of these releases.
1080p monitors are almost a thing of the past already, everything's shifting toward WQHD and 4K.
I personally own a WQHD and it's really a pain, I don't even want to image this on a 4K.
deku, the master of disguise.
Why isn't the Deku/Uraraka relationship like the Straighten up kids' one?
>Izuku as Sanji
>Deku will abandon his friends to chase after pussy
Hori I swear to God
This isn't a new chapter it came out thursday and we had like 3 threads on it then. This chapter also didn't really leave much to talk about so a lot of it degenerated into shitposting so nothing in this instance is preferable. Also last I checked there was already another BnHA thread up that's been up all day but because whoever made that thread left out anything hero in the title now we have 2 threads.
In short: Fuck off.
These Viz dumps have been going on for almost 2 years now and if you don't know anything about Jump scheduling, then you must be new.
>You assume when a chapter is dumped in thread that it's new.
Only if you're new.
Oh you're adorable. We've been working on the same schedule for the past 2 years, you want to get you panties in a bunch because you made a stupid comment and got told off for it be my guest. If you didn't know you lurk more instead of outing yourself like an idiot. Hell even reddit has the schedule for when these things come out down what armpit of the internet did you crawl out of?
Sorry mate I'm the only the original guy and the one you just responded to the other ones were other people.
Yeah I get that most people don't follow the schedule of shit they don't read, it's just that most aren't so fucking stupid they'd just go into a thread and start asking questions like "Hey where is everyone? Is this the current chapter? When's the next chapter?". Most have the sense to lurk more and not draw attention to themselves by asking obviously newfag questions.
Also bruh you were the one who was overreacting by getting all defensive. I simply told you exactly why this was a dead thread and you get all uppity and call me a belligerent retard while you were the one in the wrong.
Honestly it's just rude.
Hey man I don't need or expect you to believe me just telling you the truth. Got nothing to hide and I'm pretty sure I only called you a newfag once.
You asked a stupid question and deservedly told to fuck off. Don't want to get told to fuck off? Don't ask stupid questions?
Honestly it's kinda weird that anyone here would even get bothered by being told to fuck off. Are you sure you're in the right place?
Isn't this getting a bit old? I felt as if Bakugou had gone through his fucking inferiority complex way back in the origin chapter. He's been parroting the same "b-but you were always below me" crap since the first arc, and Deku's had his "I sticked around despite you treating me like shit because you're just that A M A Z I N G" line for about the same amount of time.
After the rescue arc it finally looked like he was starting to respect Deku, as if the character was undergoing some sort of meaningful development, and now we're back to his original characterization. 2 weeks waiting for a uninspired fight scene that was solved via asspulled powerup, right after a filler mini-arc. What a fucking disgrace.
>it wasn't a stupid question
Yeah no it was. It was like a /co/ level question. Like it's mind boggling how stupid you'd have to be to ask this question. The more time I've had to think about it the more stupid it gets. Like did you not even know shonen jump chapters get uploaded usually on thursday? That's basic level shit right there.
> It just hurt your feelings because you think it implies someone said your favorite series is bad
I'm pretty sure you didn't say anything about my favourite series. Hell you didn't even imply that this series was bad just that it wasn't popular.
that seems to be the obvious thing to conclude but you'll find quite a few faggots calling you a speedreader because you can't see the apparently great character development
in truth it's the same shit since chapter 5
Eh I think the growth is there it's just been basically glacial and directed at everyone besides Deku. Like he is getting better it's just he's really a shitty person and people don't magically change personalities overnight.
Thanks newfriend. I hope you enjoy these threads as much as I have all these years. Also welcome to 4chan enjoy your stay.
Here's a link that might help you figuring out how things work here if you have anymore questions.
The dumb part is that the characters who've been developed the most are probably Ochako in the sports tournament (demoted to bland love interest immediately), Iida (demoted to literally who, hasn't done anything in ages) and All Might (the guy who started the whole plot because he of how quickly he was becoming obsolete). Also Todoroki if you count going from CRAWLING IN MY SKIN to moe fujobait as development. And the actual main character has done nothing but play second fiddle to other people's development as the world's top hero therapist/useless apprentice.
Not Viz-anon but, where is it? I don't want to read a thread unless it has "hero" in the subject.
But again. Not knowing which day of the week Shonen Jump, one of the biggest manga magazines there is, comes out is a glaringly dumb thing to not know in a board dedicated to Anime and Manga. And if you think I was rude if you tried that shit in one piece and anyone gave enough of a shit there to reply they'd call you more words for retard than I know.
It was a dumb question because of the board and the thread you are on. Why you instantly went on the defensive because I told you to fuck off instead of brushing it off as pointless noise after getting your answer is beyond me.
At this point all deku has been is a vehicle to drive other characters development while he as a character has developed very little. Which is ironic considering in terms of power and physical change he's probably changed the most.
She left her saccharine designated-love-interest personality for a few moments and showed she could have a drive of her own, that she didn't exist solely for being the third wheel among Deku and Iida, both more interesting characters than she had been up until that point.
She also served to demonstrate that the Power of Frienship™ wasn't going to be an omnipotent silver bullet within the manga and that everyone in UA wanted to be at the top and were willing to fight for it, even the girl whose personality could be perfectly summarized as "cute and bubbly"
Then the next arc came over and besides a gag panel with her making a scary face and tackling Toga it turned out all that didn't matter whatsoever
She basically realised that she didn't want to just "be a hero" as a job, she genuinely wants to grow and follow the path of being a great hero.
What she now needs is a moment where she realises that being a hero means caring for others whatever the cost in the same way the vigilantes opening chapter laid out. As it stands she and kacchan will never be anything more than endeavour style "powerful" but ultimately selfish and self centered heros. And Ochako might not even advance beyond Mt. Lady tier - phony, self centered, and not very powerful or popular.
This isn't an inferiority complex you fucking idiot.
> He's been parroting the same "b-but you were always below me" crap since the first arc
This shit isn't even about that its about him going through his own guilt of being responsible for All Might going into retirement and to see what Deku has that All Might was able to entrust him with his power. Retards like you expect Bkugou to change at a hat for no real reason when the sole point of all those chapters was to showcase why he acts the way he does and what drives him to be a hero why the fuck would he start respecting Deku when nothing has shown he had just that he calm down. This is far from how he originally was when he essentially thought he was top shit and that Deku was beneath him.
You're a fucking jackass
>This shit isn't even about that its about him going through his own guilt of being responsible for All Might going into retirement and to see what Deku has that All Might was able to entrust him with his power
Yes, and he does that by throwing an hissy fit about how Deku surpassed from for the millionth time. His MOTIVATION may be a sign of character development, his actions are the same dusty shit we've had from the beginning of the manga. And it was already known that he had some common ground with Deku on idolizing All Might, which was explored far more effectively on his origin character, and makes these last couple chapters look all the more dissapointing by comparison
It's fucking boring. Call me speedreader all you want and all that will happen is that I'll assume you're just a bit stupider each time.
>you'll find quite a few faggots calling you a speedreader because you can't see the apparently great character development
>y-you're a jackass
>proceeds to call others speedreader
Way to prove his point you idiot
How bad do you think the repercussions for the fight will be?
Can Deku get out of trouble due to his hero licence? Technically he was restraining someone using a dangerous quirk illegally in an emergency situation.
at the beginning, I thought that Deku might get his license taken away.
but after the mysterious figure stopped Aizawa, I think he will get off unless he injures Bakugou.
If he unintentionally hurts Bakugou while unleashing his power, he might get a revoked license.
l don't think he'll lose his licence because it'd be a waste to have him take the exam again, he already showed he was good enough to pass so doing it again wouldn't give him any sort of development contrary to bakugo or todoroki
he'll probably get punished somehow though
>Yes, and he does that by throwing an hissy fit about how Deku surpassed from for the millionth time.
>his actions are the same dusty shit we've had from the beginning of the manga
You have transcended speedreading and have ventured into outright skipping chapters entirely. In this bout he did not at no point complain about Deku "surpassing him" nor did he ever did. He hated Deku because he saw him as beneath him and saw him trying to help him as a sign of pity because he at a young age only ever responded to as praise..
>And it was already known that he had some common ground with Deku on idolizing All Might, which was explored far more effectively on his origin character
Nope we just saw that he liked All Might because he was a really strong hero who nobody could beat which is what he inspired to be which was different from Deku who saw All Might as figure who was always there to save people. What these chapters have showcased was that Bakugou felt just as guilty as All Might exposing his true self to save him as Deku did which showed a rare instance of humility from him. I'll continue to call your dumbass a speedreader because you have failed to actually prove that you know what you're talking about and have failed to prove that you actually follow this manga so your complaints are pretty much worthless.
>The dumb part is that the characters who've been developed the most are probably Ochako in the sports tournament (demoted to bland love interest immediately),
I have to wonder if the people who say this shit don't realize that her prime motivation through that confrontation was also centered around Deku? Wanting to be like him, Wanting to meet up with him in the semifinals were her prime motivations during her fight with Bakugou in fact its not until recently that she decided to do things her own way instead of thinking about Deku but you would know this if you didn't speedthrough chapters at a time.
>Iida (demoted to literally who, hasn't done anything in ages)
Iida, the character who kept Deku alive through the infiltration arc and gave him a very harsh reminder of where his actions would led to was demoted to a literal who? Forgetting the fact that the License exam arc showcased how he's changed since the Stain arc? Okay
>And the actual main character has done nothing but play second fiddle to other people's development as the world's top hero therapist/useless apprentice.
Speedreader-kun strikes again.
Except it is according to what I read.
I'm getting genuinely worried about the guy who writes Smash
Just don't worry for him, worry for us.
>Jump is on break this week
>next chapter is on the 25th
Can Hori do it lads?
