I would like to start by apologizing to all the PC users that have horror stories that involve macfags, stories that I never believed.

Because today I met my first macfag. I was in lecture when the usual guy that sat next to me was either absent or this asshole decided to just take his seat. That's fine I'm cool with it. Half and hour in we started typing, me on my typical Vistaids laptop and him on a huge ass Macbook Pro. That thing extended to my own desk. I didn't give a fuck because my laptop was 13" so I had room.

Then this idiot started to do some weird shit with his screen, minimizing and enlarging it. I don't know what he did because I'm a noob at Macs but it showed like 5-6 screen at one time. Well he was doing this constantly which forced him to miss alot of the notes. He he had to look over to my screen to read some of the notes he miss because he was fucking around with his screen.

This guy was starting to piss me off. Then he whispered to me, "Your screen is so hard to read it's so small." In which I promptly reply, "Maybe if spend the time copying the notes instead of fucking around with your screen then you wouldn't have to copy off me.." He was silent for a while then came back with, "Typical fucking Windows user, you're just upset because you're jealous of my Mac." I stayed silent then he moved seats because I was about to knock both him and his shitty laptop on the floor. He said, "I'm moving seats," I told him "Good, GTFO out of here."

I was ready to get in a fight with this fucker. It's not because he owned a mac but the way he acted while COPYING the notes I take because he was too busy e-cock sucking his computer.

Yes, moe can be used when posting a derogatory comment about shows that you don't like, but posting with just the word "moeshit" accomplishes nothing but contribute to spamming the board. The trend of replying with the name of a show and moeshit is even worse, as it accomplishes nothing and only serves to increase the e-penis of whatever you're "attacking".

The the term moe was never meant to serve as an implied insult or general disagreement! Why people started using it that way is beyond me. There are plenty of reasons why one would choose to use the term moe with shwos that aren't considered "moe style". For example, action/drama shows with an appealing female type character exist and those characters can be described as being moe instead.

I want to use the term moe, yet I almost never do it on 4chan because people will jump on me thinking I'm insulting their favorite show or something.

By contrast The mainstream gets maybe one or two Your Name or Gundam The Origin type things a year at most maybe and other than that it's all bland boring shit with limited appeal for a demographic that truth be told I can't even tell if they actually enjoy or appreciate what they are getting at all anymore it's just become so mass produced and generic.

Anime otaku really are just some of the absolute shittiest people around though of that I have little doubt.

He's not bitching because it's creepy and they're aping his shtick, but because he feels it's cheap and disrespectful to living things. The man shits out vibrant settings, and his creepy characters are designed to be sympathetic and pained in addition to being creepy. A twitchy thing that drags itself across the ground and doesn't feel pain is an insult because of how thoughtless it is, it's just grotesque for the sake of grotesque, and he has no desire to be involved with such a thing.

But what Miyazaki was most disgusted by was their total lack of introspection or philosophy to their work. He asked them why they were doing what they were doing and they looked like deer in the fucking headlights. One guy mustered up 'make a machine that can draw as well as a human' and you can tell it's probably the first time he's uttered out loud what is the closest thing they have to a fucking principle, mainly because it's retarded. Why? What's the benefit? If he'd thought about it all before that moment he would have had something to say that didn't so transparently need further qualification.

You forgot the part about the theme park being an opportunity to make at least some of that semi-utopian community a reality, and the company town they did build ended up a normal, contemporary community painted in horrible colors.

I think what people frequently forget, or never knew in the first place, is that Miyazaki hated the 90s sci fi boom that a lot of you fondly remember with a passion. He thought it was too dark and cynical. He's basically hated everything that isn't Ghibli/Topcraft/Toei/mine for his entire career.
