What other series has its anime original ending to its adaptation be arguably better than the manga's actual final arc?

Literally every Kyoani show

Bamboo Blade B and C scanlations never.

I heard Tamaki shows up in C in the nationals.

Seto no Hanayome.
>>150825843
What did the manga even end with.
>>150825866
Not sure exactly, as I don't think the last volume of the manga has been translated yet. But the parts covered in the anime have been translated and the anime original ending to the arc was significantly better than the manga one as the MC actually mans up.
>>150826130
Has it even been scanlated at all?

Something happens with a kid that looks like Envy is all I can remember from 03's FMA.

Yep,and she choked there.

WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS TO HER.
Does anyone else show up?
>>150826251
Not that I'm aware of.

I don't know if the anime success led to the author getting free authority to do whatever he wanted with the manga. The last arc of Bamboo Blade was a total mess.
I'd argue the same thing happened to GTO.
Ouran.
>>150826907
It's been a long while since I've read GTO's ending but I think it was less of a clusterfuck. Bamboo Blade's last arc didn't even focus on the main characters but some bait-n-switch celebrity whose apparently really fucking good at kendo against Tamaki's "rival" that was foreshadowed since the halfway point.
Apparently the author was cleared to do whatever he wanted to "deliver a serious arc". I just don't think sidelining the main cast was the best way to do it, the anime somehow pulled that off a bit better while the rival actually was as autistic as Tamaki about Tokusatsu and kendo. Granted, the last volume somewhat made it up with everyone "maturing" but that entire T.V celebrity arc was jarring as shit.
>>150827093
In the end Bamboo Blade wasn't anything spectacular, but a lot of people liked the initial chapters and the manga, because the characters were interesting. So when the author introduces new rivals, and then rivals to the rivals, and then rivals to the rivals to the rivals, I as a reader was just lost. If the author wanted to focus on new characters, he should've done that in the spin-off.

I absolutely loved until they started focusing on said T.V program arc and shoving in 6 other girls for us to care about, which at least means I enjoyed more than half the series before it started getting annoying. Everything before was perfectly fine.

Is B any good?
>>150828779
It's decent sports shounen, nothing special but fun.
>>150829026
As fun as the original?
>>150829042
Better than the latter half of the original at least.
>>150825617
I prefer the NHK anime to the manga, and you'll always see people arguing whether novel/anime/manga is the best version
>>150828779
B was probably the most stable quality wise. C was good until the latter part of the nationals, and then it's pretty much a rush job to the end...
>>150825617
Why was the anime so incapable of capturing the manga style? It's not like manga was using some unique, hard to emulate style.
>>150829494
Literally everyone but Tama transitioned really well from the manga I felt. Tama was done nicely nearly everything but her neutral expression, which is at least 80% of her regularly shown face.
>>150829355
Too bad their ain't any scanlations for the rest of us to find out. Also
>No more Igarashi art.
>>150825617
The manga feels so off compared to the nonsensical anime and the semi-serious game.
BBD final chapter.

They are actually pretty similar in themes and execution except Bamboo Blade was pretty bittersweet with its conclusion.
>>150831759
Not so much bittersweet other than being positively vague. But the stuff that happened before was bittersweet enough to carry over to the final volume.

>>150832210
Guess I meant bittersweet as in the manga did not end with the resolution of the conflict. The club did not win the tournament and sensei had to leave the school. Tama learned to enjoy Kendo not through victory, but through a defeat.
It was a rushed conclusion for sure, but I wonder if the manga would've had a different message if it was able to go on
>>150833903
It feels like they pulled a Slam Dunk with how they beat the most powerful team in the final competition but ended up losing anyway in the next match after being completely exhausted.
I assume Tama actually lost her last match against Ura for you to say that. I thought her first loss against Erina was absolute bullshit and if anything, I would have preferred if she lost in that proper match against Ura instead. Maybe the author had the other "sequels" planned to allow the first to end like it did.
>>150834184
I guess I found some value in how anti-climactic and uneventful the manga's final arc was.
Slam Dunk was a more in your face move where after an intense match they slammed a single panel explaining that they lost the next match. It's been a while how they resolved the ending afterwards, but Slam Dunk felt like a hot-blooded sports manga so it felt even more annoying to end like that.
Bamboo Blade felt like a Slice of Life about human growth and I think I ended up putting some value in the ending because of that perceptive.
>>150836546
I don't think it would have been as bittersweet if it weren't for the two penultimate volumes
