Death has been ridiculously cheap in Dragonball for a long time. Ever since the Saiyan arc being dead just meant you would only talk to your family and friends once in a while over the Kai phone. If Goku bothered to teach anyone instant transmission being dead wouldn't even slightly impact how often you were able to see your deceaced loved ones. Really the biggest question is why doesn't Goku have more of a relationship with Grandpa Gohan? Dude could pop on over and talk to him any time he likes. The flash fucked up with the speed because he found life itself and decided to chase it and ended up in the prime universe. he then goes to the dc publisher and creates a threadmill that teleports him back to the comics/ his world. but that shit caused some side effect with some stuff changing in both universes and so "superboy" prime ended up with superpowers. and since he read silver age superman he knew all about his powers.
