You have to admit that in the first three episodes, Victor seemed a bit shady. He is the GOAT who is facing retirement soon and he is losing his touch to surprise anyone. Suddenly he goes and becomes a coach to the Glass Heart of Skating.

What show have you been watching? Episode 2 and 3 are all about Yuuri rejecting Viktor's advances.
The competition was Yuuri's last chance. It was a way for Yuuri to make up for his ignoring Viktor with his skating. Something I have been saying from the beginning. JJ is a huge threat. So is Chris. Otabek is a total in know, maybe he's amazing but inconsistent. I don't think Yuri has tapped all of his potential though, so I believe he can win fairly even if the new program is a risk. He just needs to be in the right state of mind.
