Because he's a pure boy mistaken as a slut who's really just a lovestruck world champion who threw away his career, moved across the globe for a chance at love.
Viktor best boy
Just posted by Kubo. Any predictions about Otabike's jumps?
Yet another time she teases about him.
It's so sad that Yuuri doesn't remember the way Viktor looked at him and how he made him blush. I imagine that it would be an insane confidence boost.
But yes, I also wonder whether he finds out someday.
Going by his website description I'm expecting he will be like Yuuri but better in every way. They seem pretty similar, both very quiet and reserved but on the ice its like they become a completely different person and delivers strong emotional routines.
I like how he says "Victor" instead of "Vikutoru" here.
I know. I just want to build a shrine to Georgi. while all boys are good boys I need Georgi merch. So far I've only bought Maccachin stuff because there has been no Georgi. How will I build my alter to the supreme witch?
I need these hand cream sweaters in my life
I've spent quite a long time thinking about how Yuuri will incorporate the ring into his Eros routine.
>It will be at the end, as he holds the final embracing pose.
>Then slowly, he starts to arch his back and neck outwards slightly out of the pose, craning his neck out sideways as if Viktor were right beside him.
>Cue a close-up of his hand slowly extending his fingers out, exposing the ring on his finger.
>emphasis of his lips slowly making their way up his hand.
>eventually finding the ring, he tenderly and softly kisses the ring as if he is kissing Viktor's ring while in embrace with him.
>Pan out to Yuuri sultry staring at Viktor afterwards.
>Viktor at a loss for words.
>reactions of disbelief from everyone
(I thought way too much into this, I'm sorry)
What do you think he'll do, anons?
I've never watched a show so gay in my life and it's not bad for sportshit. Perhaps I will be less discriminatory in the future.
I still believe in the butt/hip slap. We see in the preview he and Victor seem to do something with the rings before already and I could see Yuuri having the "this is too personal/precious to flaunt in the routine" mindset.
After Viktor kissed him in front of cameras and everything? And after incorporating pretty much every relationship upgrade into the routine? No, I believe he will do something with the ring. But your idea is nice, too.
I don't know. It depends on Yuuri at that moment. Normal Yuri will definitely think the ring is too precious, but Eros Yuri will want to flaunt to everybody that Viktor is already his.
I've been predicting this since he appeared but I also feel like him getting silver rings while Yuuri got gold ones might be some sort of hint, its Kubo after all and she seem to like that kind of silly foreshadowing
I still don't think Victor is gay I think he just uses it because it gets Yuuri to perform his best, But like I said before gay or not this show would still be enjoyable.
Otabek will look him straight in the eye and tell him: "Stop. You're no king. You're embarassing both yourself and your country. Just skate like normal people do."
This will lead to JJ's destruction. Otabek is such a bro that he befriended Fairy just by being honest. I believe that his honesty can alsı ruin JJ.
Otabek doing this would be awesome, but I want Fairy and Yuuri to be instrumental to his downfall. He ignored Yuuri and humiliated Fairy, so I want them to get him a reality check.
I think their themes will have to with it. Otabak is the hero, Yuri the fairy, JJ is the king. The hero will usually defeat a king in a story, but a fairy doesn't, it usually supports a hero.
I actually would love an alt-universe OVA, with the characters being their themes. Michelle a knight, Emile a robot, Seung-Gil a parrot, Guang Hong an assasin and Georgi being the almighty witch.
Its been a pretty popular theme with the nip fujos on twitter actually
Is animage seriously sold out on cdjapan already?
My shrine is forever incomplete
I'm still going to finish this but I won't be able to tonight, so I won't be able to get around to the one that anon wanted either because I think I'm going to have to post to /ic/ asking for help with the anatomy because I can't find and good reference pictures to help and some parts are confusing me, especially Chris's back arm and his pectorals. Also the faces are pretty much place holder at the moment, I'm not sure if I should attempt to make Yuri's look more Japanese or not because I am pretty bad at drawing asian faces side on.
My fatties of african descent.
Minami could be a jester of some kind, fits in with his skate theme of dancing too and his cheer leading. Taco could be a musician maybe? His skate was all about how much he loves music after all.
Is this the first anime where we can use this expression literally?
He's the perfect mix between sexy and cute. Best boy of the year.
what did he mean by this
>tripfag attentionwhoring with contrarian bait
What a surprise.
He backloaded a lot of trips and trip combos, but he only can do the quad toe loop.
As much as I love Thai, he had the probably best performance in China. He probably won't skate as well in the GPF.
I want Yuuri to win gold at GPF and JJ to win gold at Worlds so they can have some double wedding with their respective waifus (male & female) and everyone is happy
Victor is still a slut because he did go with part of the intention of getting Yuuri in bed most likely, but sluts turning into pure maidens at first love is literally a god tier trope.
Remember the scene in ep 3 in the locker room and Victor just stands there silently? Everyone said he was making evil plans how he could use Yuri to get famous again but he was actually just worried about him losing and having to go back to Russia with Yurio.
do you think that they would cut that scene to something else to give a cliff hanger to his performance and we don't realize who won until the banquet when congratulate people on their ranking?
At this rate, I don't think they'll sleep with each other until Victor skates Stay By My Side with Yuuri.
In all honesty, I am a contrarian and hope Yuuri loses (but still place on the podium) because it will force Victor to prove himself that he will be with Yuuri no matter what.
Yeah, considering Episode 7, Victor being quiet, stiff and pensive usually means he's nervous.
Remember that Yuuri has his anxiety to deal with. Skillwise, at least at the Onsen on Ice, Yuuri was the better skater, but it was his first competition after the GPF '15 disaster. And Yuuri almost had an anxiety attack too if Victor didn't spot him.
Why are people saying this is venue only? Doesn't the 会場先行商品 on the site imply that it'll be available elsewhere later? The event only ones like Yuri's lion shirt have a 会場限定 label on them.
Nah like that other anon said the other day I think he was actually considering leaving. Yuuri was ignoring him and Viktor must have been there during the training sessions, he knew Yuuri hadn't mastered Eros yet. Thankfully Yuuri realized he wasn't up to Viktor's standards and spent the whole night training. If he hadn't I don't want to think about what could have happened.
It's obvious now why he didn't return the hug before the performance. He must have thought Yuuri was playing with him.
To be fair I'm starting to feel bad for him, his program is gold winner but he's the butt of the show and the only way Yuuri or Yurio can beat that is with some Tonya'd magic or he flopping really bad for some reason.
Probably helps that I find him mostly fun to watch.
You have to admit that in the first three episodes, Victor seemed a bit shady. He is the GOAT who is facing retirement soon and he is losing his touch to surprise anyone. Suddenly he goes and becomes a coach to the Glass Heart of Skating.
It wasn't still subsequent episodes you realized that Victor was realizing that skating isn't all there to life and he was missing something, so stuff was starting to ring hollow to him. Yuuri really saved him by showing that he can take another path in his life and wanted besides being Victor Nikiforov the GOAT skater.
I very much believe Yuri will say "I love you" to Victor right before skating off to do his FS. Victor will stand there shocked then start crying during or after the program, which is almost guaranteed to be one big love confession to Victor in itself.
Nah, if he was seriously considering leave, he wouldn't bother with the whole competition in the first place. I know some of you want to paint Victor as his love martyr but it wasn't that deep, son.
Him being nervous that he has to go back to the life that was increasingly becoming unsatisfying to him and leaving Yuuri, who he was steadily falling more and more in love with him, and the life he was enjoying in Hasetsu makes a lot more sense.
Phichit has two 4t and both of them are on the second half with 10% more base value. He is relying on triple combinations. It helped his score a little bit. But I doubt he will get gold or made it to the podium at all.
Joke all you want about JJ but he is fucking op. JJ's FS has nearly the same jump base value as Victor's last year FS. Chris is on top condition so his SP and FS will get a huge score boost. There's a chance Fairy will backload his jumps. Yuuri's jump also get some upgrades.
I bet he will get 5th or 6th. Depending on where Otabek and Yurio will place. But Phichit has the smallest chance of winning here.
I want doujins where Victor deages to long hair and 18-years-old, and Yuuri uses all the carnal knowledge of 27-year-old Victor that he's learned over months and months of tender lovemaking to turn deaged Victor into a writhing, begging mess.
Then Yuuri wakes up with a raging hard-on. Victor's come home in the middle of the night and is waking him up with a handjob and asks "What were you dreaming about?" and when Yuuri stammers out an answer Victor is absolutely charmed and asks if Yuuri wants him to get a wig and one of his old costumes.
Is that water drop supposed to look like a dick?
Yeah, when you say it like this, Viktor does sound suspicious. I never got that vibe from him due to the nature of the show, though. It just seemed too bizarre given the setting.
Exactly. I have no problem admitting I thought there might be a plot twist with Victor using Piggy as a transformation project to flaunt his own skills and keep his fame alive. Not to mention the story of the playboy leaving the girl once he's tired of her left a lot of people thinking Victor would soon get bored of Yuuri.
I want to thank once more the anon who drew this a few weeks ago. His art alleviated the impact of this week's episode for me. I doubt if I could have survived if I hadn't already have an image of pole dancing Yuuri in my head.
>who he was steadily falling more and more in love with him
What show have you been watching? Episode 2 and 3 are all about Yuuri rejecting Viktor's advances.
The competition was Yuuri's last chance. It was a way for Yuuri to make up for his ignoring Viktor with his skating. Viktor must have felt Yuuri wasn't giving it his all, and consequently wouldn't have minded leaving had Yuuri not been able to perform Eros properly. Which is what he must have thought would happen in pic related. Since he wasn't aware Yuuri had an epiphany and spent the night training iwth Minako.
Remember when that episode first aired and people were using your pic related to show how Victor is just manipulating Yuuri to hone him as a rival so he's not bored at the top?
Man. Our pre-ep 7 ep discussions become so ridiculous now.
Cute, reminds me of: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=manga&illust_id=60244077
I know, I used to support it somewhat. But at least the "it's boring at the top" wasn't as ridiculous as the "I'm already the most famous and loved guy on the planet but for some reason I'm using a dropout japanese skater to get in the limelight again even though I never left it, hey look, I only hug Yuuri in front of cameras" theory and his supporters.
I want JJ's name to become skater lingo later down the line for someone who's a complete unremarkable fuckup. I want it to be used within earshot for maximum butthurt.
By the way, did they end up settling on Jean-Jacques or Jean Jack?
Fairy lost to him even with all he had, but Piggy has never skated against him at his best, and changed his program's difficulty to match JJ's. It's entirely possible to beat him fair and square.
there is a lot of sponsor doujins too
This. Honestly JJ has a higher chance of winning. As much as people seem to hate him, you have to admit he's good.
Unless JJ really fucks it up or Yuri really changed things up to beat him, Yuri won't win.
And even then chances are Yuri will still not get gold.
Just because Yuuri was keeping to himself doesn't mean Victor was so hurt that he was thinking about leaving. You are too into your headcanon and actually ignoring what was there.
Onsen on Ice was to prove that Victor's faith in Yuuri was warranted or not.
Besides, Yuuri declaring that he wanted to eat katsudon with Victor as much as they can always told Victor that he was wanted anyway and that was before the match, dingus. So can we end the "Poor Victor is a love martyr" bullshit headcanon already?
I'm struggling too. Usually it's only one character that is appealing and the other is more of a cardboard cutout but you still want them to be together because that's what the more developped character (who usually happens to be my husbando) wants.
I love jj /love to hate jj. Irl there's always "that guy" and they've nailed it with him. He's so young too, obviously in terms of emotional maturity he's closer to yurio than yuri. And he's engaged?? It's gonna be one of those "married too early" situations for sure.
Jokes on you I like cold weather.
Baldfat doujins are always cute as fuck, and the fairy ones are lewd
Mixed signals are just as bad as an outward rejection.
>don't touch me!
>i'll put all the eros I have into this routine!
>ew no, please don't blog
>i want to eat katsudon with you!
>my eros is katsudon!
>So can we end the "Poor Victor is a love martyr" bullshit headcanon already?
Why should we stop talking about the truth?
I'm laughing so hard at banquet photos with Sara and Mickey in the background. It's pretty obvious now that Crispy calling Yuuri a "closet pervert" had more context to it than just his unexpected Eros performance.
Will we ever get to see Victor angrier than this? I loved how his hand was actually shaking, this guy has an exceptionally good hold of his temper.
Yuuri will win anyway, by the power of Victor's dick and upgraded yuri on Ice and JJ will fuck up his FS while the anime cut his performance like Taco's FS.
I honestly don't want that to happen. Yuuri's win will be unsatisfying and the whole build up around JJ's skill as a top skater are wasted. It feels cheap. I want Yuuri to win when JJ does a clean skate. But the recent episode make JJ look like a Karamatsu tier joke character so I doubt anything good will happen to him.
I think it's safe to assume that he was pretty hurt, but I wouldn't call him a love martyr either.
Tamaki and Haruhi
Sheryl and Alto
Soushi and Kazuki
Luke and Mara
Han and Leia
Fakir and Ahiru
Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy
I'm spitballing here. BaldFat is top tier but it hasn't obliterated the competition.
Dont forget the awkward when Yuri announced katsudon would be his eros. With the context of 10 it's quite easy to see how Yuri being so hot and cold would have confused Victor.
I dont think we will but I wouldnt mind seeing it
He was obviously hurt. Fairy kicking his back might have looked like comic relief because of the artstyle but the thing is we see the prints of Fairy's sneakers on Viktor's back. That wouldn't have happened had this just been your regular slap and stick comedy scene. I think it was there to show Viktor was actually hurt on the inside.
JJ was a joke from the start, his SP was overblown but he did well. I agree that Yuri must win without handicaps or it will seem cheap, but it's not like JJ is Victor-tier. Chris beat him, and he didn't even place at the Worlds.
>Remember when that episode first aired and people were using your pic related to show how Victor is just manipulating Yuuri to hone him as a rival so he's not bored at the top?
imagine harada making a doujin of this though, delicious suffering.
I will never stop feeling guilty of making fun of him because of that scene. He just left his old life behind for a man who finally made him feel something in his life devoid of any meaningful connections and he treats him like a complete stranger.
>Fairy kicking his back might have looked like comic relief because of the artstyle
Pretty sure it was done in purpose to mislead the viewer
The scene was unexpectedly dark and tense
Yurio was saying what some anons in the thread were talking about earlier; that Yuuri is just some sort of project for Victor to prove his skills and keep his fame hence the "I'll win and prove to everyone how bad his (Piggy's) trainer is". Its also the reason Yurio keeps saying Victor is old and busted and should just fuck off already, all he sees is a man desperatly trying to stay famous and continue his career through someone else. Not to mention he is still salty as fuck losing the Onsen event.
It would read weirdly in English if they used the word "livestock", which is a term for plural animals. They used [expletive] pig to get the same feeling that he's referring to yuri in a demeaning way. In Victor's subs towards yuri it's little piggy or whatever, and his tone is endearing, so unless you're deaf and partially illiterate it makes sense
Fuck now I'm the autist
That doesn't make sense though. He's skated two perfect programmes for the prelims and is the highest scorer so far this season. The only way he is guaranteed not to win is if he chokes.
You're probably right. I'm still not sure what this is all about though, since I never really understood the fairy. Guess we'll see in the next episodes.
I hope fairy will cry and apologize for being a cunt. I'm tired of everyone indulging him because he's a kid with problems. He needs a good wake up slap to the face.
Does Yuuri really love Victor in a romantic sense?
He always idolized Victor and when Victor came into his life, he saw him only as a coach at first. He didn't like Victor flirting with him.
He got comfortable with touching and hugging because Victor is always touchy with him. Now he buys him a ring saying it's a good luck charm.
He never initiated any romantic thing between them.
If he wasn't grinding on Victor at the banquet, I wouldn't think he might be sexually attracted to Victor and not just adore him as a skater.
They have been using romantic motiff for Yuuri's actions, which are obviously well researched from his part. I get the impression Yuuri is just too shy to say his feelings face to face. He doesn't even deny Viktor's statements, he just "I NEED A MOMENT".
Fairy was shittalking on his relationship with Yuuri. I don't think Fairy meant most of it as it was specifically said to piss Victor off and Fairy is still pissed Victor "abandoned" him. Still over the line though.
I can't understand why some anons though Victor was slighted about Fairy calling him old and outdated. If would matter if Victor had plans to come back to competitive skating but this episode pretty much shat on that idea.
Yuuri is very, very repressed if you don't count his moments of boldness. That's why he keeps doing stuff like buying (two) marriage rings and justifying it to himself as "good luck charms" while putting one of them on Viktor's finger in an obviously romantic manner. It's also why he's embarrassed when Viktor declares they will marry, but he doesn't deny it.
Alcohol merely removed his inhibitions.
as some one as inexperienced in love and as anxious as Yuri I don't find it surprising that he turned down Victor's advances as a form of self defence. I mean having your, much richer, famous and achieved idol hit on you when you're at an all time low would be quite a shock, he was probably scared it was fake. I don't blame him from wanting to protect himself from being humiliated.
I think he was in denial, maybe still is to a certain extent.
>I-I'm getting dokis because I'm so happy my idol is here!
>I'm buying 700 euro wedding ring but as a good luck charm!
Man was grinding on him drunk, plastered posters of him all over his bedroom, blushes, is possessive, is needy and clingy, begs God to let them be together for longer. All that put together isn't platonic.
家畜 is not wild animal so that would just be totally wrong. Farm animal is awkward in English.
Hey don't get me wrong if I were the cr editor I'd use "swine" but I'm not and honestly the line as it is is acceptable.
>I can't understand why some anons though Victor was slighted about Fairy calling him old and outdated. If would matter if Victor had plans to come back to competitive skating but this episode pretty much shat on that idea.
Something I have been saying from the beginning. Viktor is aware some people don't look up to him already or even hate him, he has repeteadly showed he didn't care for winning but just surprising people, repeteadly showed he doesn't care about performing skating himself and likes the homely life at Hasetsu. Comments about his persona are meaningless at this point and probably always were considering is not the first time someone tries to offend him, just don't touch the pig.
I spend 484855.91 yen in wedding bands for me and my bro too
Not to mention he doesn't know Victor as a person. He knows Victor #1 Skater who he has followed for years and read articles about. He has no idea how to handle this Victor or for a while why Victor is even there. It makes sense Yuri is so all over the place, between hero worship and being weirded out by this over the top autist.
I'm just saying that Victor is in love with him and Yuuri is just going with it cause his idol is there with him. I mean he adores Victor and doesn't wanna let him go but that doesn't mean he is sexually and romantically attracted to him.
in return though can someone give me the "i came here to laugh at you" victor
I believe it's mutual but Yuri has said time and time again he doesn't understand what love is, just that he wants to keep Victor with him and that is his definition of love. Yuri hasn't had the lightbulb moment of "oH this is Love love" yet but his actions betray his true feelings.
Yes I need more of these three together
I believe that it started earlier, but it is difficult to pinpoint where his hero worship turned into something more genuine. You're right that something important happened in ep7, though. Viktor royally fucked up and so Yuuri recognized that he was, in fact, human just like everyone else. Maybe that was why he started to be a little more confident when it came to expressing his feelings.
I'm imaginning this scenario where Phichit and Christophe will make sure they drink enough to turn lewd but not enough to forget and then spam their cameras the next hours in the upcoming GPF banquet
He's probably both but the boy has never been in a relationship and might not even understand that he's in one with Victor because it's so tied up in skating as well. Not that I'm saying Victor's behaviour is normal for coaches and Yuri is too dumb to tell the difference but more that Yuri's lack of romantic experience might be making his self justification easier. He is definitely romantically attracted to Victor though (and physically if that pregnant comment has any weight).
Yeah, and don't forget that Viktor probably didn't talk about their relationship with him at all because he lived under the impression that Yuuri remembers the banquet night which was obviously sexually charged. He saw everything that happened as a natural development while Yuuri was just fucking confused.
Exactly. Not to mention Victor came to Yuri on his terms with his own reasons, leaving Yuri to wonder what the fuck was going on AND learn that the Victor on his bedroom walls and the one in his house were two vastly different people.
Yuuri is a very confused man until Episode 7. Yuuri never seen his "admiration" for Victor anything but that even though to pretty much anyone who knows him knows the guy has been harboring a celeb crush for years. And I do think that Yuuri putting Victor on a pedestal played a role in it. When Victor comes to Hasetsu, it really much overwhelmed Yuuri and now he's worried that Victor was going to see the loser Yuuri thinks he is and starts pushing him away. But at the same time, the show does show that Yuuri was at least attracted to Victor, even he didn't understand what it had meant. Episode 4 was probably that Yuuri falls for Victor in that scene where he asks God for Victor's time, not winning the GPF, but for having Victor by his side. Episode 5 does show that Yuuri was still confused on how he felt for Victor but he knew it was a type of love.
Then the kiss happens. I don't think Yuuri looking like he was in a trance after Victor kissed him. It was probably the moment he realized that he was in love with Victor.
>Who am I dancing for?
>I know who
It's even hotter in japanese, I wew everytime.
Yuri even says to Victor that he was embarrassed and ashamed to show him his flaws. To me it all started after the scene on the beach. "He meets me where I am" is the start of their relationship becoming more grounded and less Idol and Piggy.
What gets me about Yuuri's evolution of Eros routine is how he starts out referring to himself with female pronouns (atashi if I heard correctly) during the skate and only manages to skate the routine perfectly when he switches to his usual boku. If that isn't a beautiful metaphor for him coming to term with his feelings, then I don't know what is.
I think some of you are missing the point of Yuuri talking about love in the media press. Many translators have pointed out the subs were wrong, for example:
>"My love is not something clear-cut like romantic love[...]"
>In their haste to no-homo this sentence, they removed possibly the most important part of Yuuri’s speech on love : he refutes both the simplicity of 'platonic ai’ and 'romantic koi’, not just romantic love. And he also makes a very clear distinction between his relationship with Victor as something completely separate from his other relationships.
> "I don't really have a name for that emotion"
>They rewrote this sentence, possibly for flow, but in the result made Yuuri look like he didn’t know what his feelings were but he decided to call it 'love’ anyway. No. Yuuri knows. He just also happens to know that there is no name to call his feelings, so he’s deliberately decided to give it one.
The ‘deliberately’ part is pretty important, in that he makes sure everyone knows that he knows what he’s talking about.
This is a thing? Also, is 750 euros the full price of one ring at an expensive shop? The full price of two rings? A down deposit on two rings? We need your niche expertise.
JJ is the closest one to Victor tier jump wise. He has better stamina and ready to take risks. He gets the highest jump base value score without backloading. Kubo also hypes him around and makes him sound like the final boss (and he still, sort of. Even Victor says that Yuuri can't beat JJ with his older program composition. But changing FS components in just 2 weeks sounds like a bad idea). But yeah, with Miyano style acting and inflated ego it's hard to take him seriously.
I think JJ improved a lot after the previous season. Probably by the power of butthurtery after not placing on World's. But it's unclear whether JJ competed on Worlds or not. The only sign he competed on Worlds is that he is trying to befriend Otabek who debuted on World's.
Can't wait to see serious mode Chris. Chris is a huge threat from the start. He is Victor's old rival after all.
I don't know if I should take Otabek seriously as a threat when he gets his ass handled by a guy who can't quad at all and finished last at Cup of China. Also Dennis Ten.
I still don't get it. Did Yuuri buy just one ring and Victor had secretely buyed another before him? If not, why did he look so surprised in this part?
Most likely. They were nearly plain golden bands from a high jewelry brand even the wedding markup. I could believe Yuuri would spend $4000 on maybe titanium rings.
That said, solid gold make shit rings though because it's a pretty soft metal. One good bang on it would dent/mark it up forever.
Please don't compare this stoic, noble Kazakh hero to Denis Ten.
JJ is a huge threat. So is Chris. Otabek is a total in know, maybe he's amazing but inconsistent. I don't think Yuri has tapped all of his potential though, so I believe he can win fairly even if the new program is a risk. He just needs to be in the right state of mind.
>He just needs to be in the right state of mind.
This, Yuuri has always sabotaged himself so far. Now he has a nice motivation and (hopefully) a confidence boost, so all isn't lost.
Niconico ratings for episode 10. It's the same as for episodes 9 and 7, aka. the highest.
I am not going to blog, sorry.
But yeah, I can see both rings for 750 euros since they are pretty plain yellow gold rings. If they had like a lot of stylization and gems on it, then it would be too cheap.
I think that's just him accepting the fact that he can seduce people if he wants to. He grows up sexually there but that doesn't mean his hero worship has turned into genuine romantic love.
It's obvious Yuuri bought both rings, it was a gift for Victor and a symbol of their relationship, romantic or otherwise. Yuuri was probably nervous and wasn't sure how Victor would react, so naturally he'd be a bit surprised and relieved when he sees his feelings are returned. He probably wasn't expecting Victor to put the ring on him.
>Viktor is so in love
>Yuuri keeps acting like a retard
From fujo detectives:
Yuri looked at three pairs of rings, yellow gold, rose gold, white gold/titanium. Yuri, like we all know, chose the yellow gold. The yellow gold ring is around 449 Euros for one ring only. If Yuri paid 760+ euros, he must have bought a set.
Why the fuck is he still nervous?! Victor mentioned the marriage proposal first, Victor went to the airport to pick him up, Victor kissed him. Why does this boy still act like this?! Damn it Yuuri!
I just want to know or start some retarded discussion about how Yuuri's current state would fare against other medalist and what will the anime do to make Yuuri's victory actually satisfying without the 'his rivals got btfo but no we wont show it' like Gook or Taco.
Chris is a good guy that twerks on ice, he is no threat outside the rink and Victor is a pure maiden disguised as a slut so no I don't think he is manipulative.
They end up in magazines and surveys, so the creators will see them. There they get the first-hand info if the series is well received or not. It still doesn't tell about the sales, of course.
I think he was shocked that Victor saw through of what he was trying to do.
I wonder what Victor said changed his mind about the whole letting Victor go.
Actually not having a name for certain feelings usually indicate that they are too complex for a simple label. So saying that he doesn't know how to categorize it is actually correct. If he knew they were romantic feelings he would imply they were. It's not that deep, senpai.
Yuuri thought that Victor wasn't all that serious about it and it was a bit of flirtation. Then he decided to take a chance after seeing JJ and his bitch announcing their engagement on Insta.
It was kind of like "oh shit it happened" moment. He never thought the man of his dreams would one day put a ring on his finger. Camera even panned Victor, showing him through Yuuri's eyes.
This makes a lot of sense from Yuuri's viewpoint. Now I feel even more sorry for Viktor because the poor guy can't ever catch a break.
It was romantic love but it's obvious Yuuri was confused with it because he felt other types of love too. It's pretty important that what Yuuri and Victor share isn't like like passionate love ("koi") but a more complete and lasting love ("ai") which includes romantic love.
Question: Yurio wanted to skate Eros not because of "sexual love" but because he doesn't know what "unconditional love" is, right? Since Yuuri had Eros all along, does this mean Yurio will realize he had it or discover that Agape was the friend(s) you made along the way (in Barcelona)?
>yfw realising gay romance between two athletes in different stages of their life is far more interesting than generic heterosexual relationships
The dynamic is completely different and it kills me that we won't see any more of it.
I ended up buying these, if you guys want the cute one I posted i'll scan them and post it on /cm/ just let me know
I'm more excited for the baldfairy ones than the baldfat ones
Het relationships can also be written in an interesting way, it's just that most people don't try. And it's the same with homo relationships in fiction, really, this one is just extremely good, but there's a lot of shit to wade through if you want to find something similar.
It's less about het romance being boring and more like het romance has become stagnant. Authors keep making the same type of men and the same type of women and hardly break the mold with them.
It's also bad that most people think men and women cannot be friends, so they developt them quickly (and in cliche ways) because otherwise people are like "xD why aren't they married already".
Look at shipping wars in anime where 1 person is surrounded by people of the opposite gender. People assume that whoever doesn't end up with the hero/heroine "lost" and "must feel miserable" when in many cases everyone was having a good time and were not into the protag.
Kubo's complain about het romance root from this, people are like "why aren't they married already xD" instead of wanting to read a wholesome relationship.
And with smae-sex relationships people tell her "is forced" "is bait" no matter how much she tried. So YoI is probably a fuck you to that people.
Not that deep. He didn't want to skate Agape because it was a total 180 to his usual style. Doing routines like Agape requires vulnerability and emoting. Fairy's style is more dramatic and fast paced so he probably can do Eros on the count of the style and can fake it enough.
But there is a narrative going on related to the two dances. Yuuri with Eros is to gain confidence to get what he wants (the pure heart of a Russian slut) and Fairy with Agape is to learn to open up to others (which I think Otabek is meant to represent).
>It's also bad that most people think men and women cannot be friends, so they developt them quickly (and in cliche ways) because otherwise people are like "xD why aren't they married already".
People unironically think that if a girl and a boy talk too much or happen to touch it must be because they are into each other even if they just met.
In most cultures there's nothing wrong with touching people of the opposite gender, but Japanese and Americans think every touch is intimate.
Yuuri has some kind of emotional epiphany while doing his final routine. The last big jump he's never landed before is animated in slow motion. The ring gets visual focus during the performance in an outrageously romantic moment e.g. he kisses it or something.
Yurio is finally moved to tears by something or other, either Otabek or not winning gold (probably not dead grandpa)
Last episode ends on an extremely cute and fan-pleasing note.
I think there's a certain culture about male x female relationships in Japan too. Not related to YoI itself, but there is this game I've played in which the production team said they weren't sure in how to write a friendship between a girl a boy because it didn't really exist back in their days. Closer non-romantic relationships between a male and a girl seem to be a more recent thing.
He better win or Ciao Ciao won't let him watch his favourite movie again.
>5/5 Eros with ring shenanigans
>Fairy beginning to understand what Baldfat feel through his budding relationship with Otabek and so he apologizes to Viktor
>Phichit's ridiculous selfies
>Otabek is crazy good
>Yuuri skating a perfect Yuri on Ice routine and landing that quad flip, Viktor unironically crying with happiness
>Yuuri wins, JJ gets BTFO
I admit that those are mostly my wishes, not that I necessarily think will happen, but a) it's Kubo, so perhaps it'll be even better, b) meme magic, if we write about it enough times, it will happen.
I bet Phichit takes really beautiful dick pics.

To be fair, the authors are guilty of this. I read harems that end with the girls still in love with the MC even after the MC chooses the girl and that shit is annoying. It doesn't help most cases, you very rarely see the losing girls in other relationships.
I didn't necessarily mean a romantic relationship, just a really close friendship. From what we've been shown, Yurio doesn't have anyone like that, so getting a taste of what it's like to be close to someone could help him realize what Yuuri means to Viktor.
I really want to see the last two episodes because I know they will be awesome but at the same time I don't want this to end and I know they'll make me cry like a bitch even if they're happy and funny as fuck.
But Fairy and Otabek have only been friends for a day, I don't think they have gotten close enough that Fairy can start to understand where Victor is coming from. I think he'll probably feel inspired by him.
Who do you think will win above each? Yurio > Yuuri or Yuuri > Yurio?
Both scenarios will end horrible and I don't know how Yurio can get a redemption in such short time. If Yuuri wins over Yurio, he will be furious and lash at both about how their ruined his Senior debut. If Yurio wins over Yuuri, he will be an insuferable cunt about how Viktor is a shitty coach.
I don't even know who the development with Otabek can change these scenarios. There's barely any time.
I don't want this ride to end. I think I'll be okay if they said that new episodes were delayed because of production fuck-ups or something and that's the first time I'm having thoughts like these.
Yurio will lose and he will get over it. He will be salty for a while, just like he is still lowkey salty about Onsen on Ice, but he did accept Yuuri's victory back then and he will accept it now. He does see Yuuri as a worthwhile opponent.
JJ fucks up, Otabek inspires Yurio to some kind of emotional epiphany through his skating, Yuri wins and the last episode is them wrapping everything up with Victor and Yuri returning to Hasetsu and setting up their place.
Last ED is a bunch of pictures of some kind of undefined celebration where vaguely wedding-like things are happening but nothing is overtly stated.
So they're never explicitly say they they live each other and/or kiss?
I know some of you think that it is not necessary for them to do that, but this is not a het. Like it or not, homo romance is not the norm, especially in anime, so some things have to be stressed.
If nothing else, an explicit, non hidden, not-treated-as-a-joke kiss on the lips would shut up the straightfags for good.
Really? Pretty sure it has been talked before. When we first talked about Viktor crying at night after his advances got rejected by Yuri then Yuri didn't want to sleep with him?
