Well I mean you're not exactly wrong in general, women do seem to prefer having fair skin. Although, there are exceptions. However, my main issue is that Azusa never really seems all that upset about being tanned, other than the fact that it shows she was having fun outside instead of studying or practising, which makes people not take her as seriously when she starts bitching at them to practice or study more. Really, she probably enjoys being tanned because deep down she really likes playing outside and having fun, she just feels pressured in general to practice a lot and study hard, which means she can't get out and play all that often.

In the episode where my screenshot is, she even goes out of her way to get a more uniform tan instead of simply not swimming. Admittedly, this doesn't necessarily mean she enjoys being tanned, but it shows she doesn't really have a problem getting more tanned as opposed to sitting inside all day and hoping her tan goes away.

Azusa is such a fascinating creature, isn't she? I could spend weeks studying her in her natural habitat!
