I really hope Silver Link goes under now after the hack job they're doing on all levels with Brave Witches. And any sympathy over what happened with Kokoro Connect is long gone. The battles, animation, characterizations, the lack of the series staple fanservice. Everything is beyond a train wreck now. It's like the train managed to derail and smash into a village near by only to have a plane crash into the remains of the engine car and then an earthquake happen right afterwards.

I mean I like Hikari more than Yoshika because she wasn't just gifted with great power and has to find means to compensate for her weakness and can only rely on hard work to remain relevant in an ace squadron, so having actual character develop beyond 'the naive newbie believes things can be peacefully resolved through UNDERSTANDING', but every week feels like nothing new is accomplished or developed. It's like Silver Link thought this was going to a be a 26 episode series or went full retard and thought they could get a season 2 for Brave Witches by withholding key parts, like a Rossman and Rall episode.

I bet she'll be all "Hikari you have to go back" and Hikari will be all "No it's great here" and they'll have an argument for half the episode. The other half will be about a random Neuroi attacking and Hikari dispatches it with Kanno and co, and Takami relents.

It's the production committee that decides and not Silver Link. Merchandising doesn't need 26 episodes. All that is needed is one cour as a single season is enough time to launch merchandise sales for the new show in the "World Witches" series. Then they can wait a season or two before putting out another show along with some cameo shots to support prior merchandise.
