Haruka!
Noein was great.
>>150648925
I see there's at least one anon here with superior taste.
>>150649380
Fuck you making me relive that episode
>>150649507
It's my favorite episode, it's basolutely fantastic.
>>150649553
Oh it's fantastic. But the feels cut right through.
"I can't be your leg, but I can carry you and walk. Carry you and play soccer."
My fucking heart.
>>150649731
Yeah, glasses girl had it hard too.
>>150649907
Yeah what was her deal? She was just suicidal and detached from reality because she was a NEET shut-in with no friends?
>>150650214
Just suicidal?
If I remember correctly she was bullied pretty damn hard.
>>150650374
Well I didn't mean it like that.
Based Atori saved her anyway.
>>150650455
Quiet Atori is best Atori but sadist Atori had his moments too.
Karasu is still the best Dragon Kinight.
>>150650740
Quiet Atori was best, but sadist Atori who was still helping the kids was also great.
>>150650788
Right.
I have to say that every single character in Noein, they were all great.
My to three is:
Haruka
Karasu
Ai
>>150651128
Holy fuck, pardon my shit grammar.
>>150651128
I agree except I put Atori in third.
The only character I disliked was, ironically, Yuu. He was a whiny bitch for the first three quarters of the series, and even in the last few episodes where he sorta mans up to save Haruka, he never really grew much as a character. Up until the last episode he was still doubting himself, still unsure, still not strong enough to protect her like Karasu told him to be.
>>150651249
Actually I think Kooriyama was my third favorite.
>relatively light-hearted time shenanigans episode in which Haruka learns about her family's past
>ends with her suddenly talking to her alternate future self, which has been strangely absent from the story so far
>she says a load of cryptic and ominous things in a melancholic tone
>Haruka is speechless
>episode ends in silence
I will never forget that episode.
Great show overall.
>>150651372
Is that the episode where the phone keeps ringing?
>>150651249
>>150651336
How could I forgot Tobi. Fuck.
Ok
Haruka
Karasu
Kooriyama
Tobi
Atori
Top 5
>>150651486
Yes that one.
>>150651583
That episode got too repetitive for me desu. Also it wasn't very lighthearted, it was pretty heavy with her having to relive her parent's divorce again and again.
>>150651249
Yep, Yuu was really annoying at first but with a mother like that it was inevitable.
>>150651848
Honestly his mother grew more as a character than he did
>>150652589
For sure, she even grew more relaxed (and almost devolped alcoholism thanks to Haruka's mom).
>>150652709
I love how every adult character had a tragic backstory to explain their persona. Karasu had Haruka dying, Fukuro had that whole gang violence stint, Ai had her leg, Miho had her depression, Kooriyama had his partner dying, Atori had his sister and friend dying, Yuu's mom had her sister dying, Haruka's mom had the divorce.
>>150653026
The researcher didn't have anything?
>>150653364
Uchida? Not that I can think of, no. Maybe I'm forgetting. Also lets not forget Noein himself, the most tragic backstory that turned him into an emo ghost man.
>>150653420
Poor guy just wanted to stay together with Haruka.
>>150653521
I didn't really understand his motive.
Why not just abduct a Haruka from another timespace? He had access to infinite Harukas. But instead he wants to collapse all timespaces because sad things keep happening.
>Christmas holiday 6 years ago
>randomly surfing TV channels
>find a Noeindubmarathon
>"Man, what's with this artstyle? Oh well, might as well try it."
>finished marathon with tears on my face
It was an enlightening experience for the holidays. I always think about how scared I was when I sawthe cliffhanger where Haruka receives the phone call from her alternate future self.. It really is a great show that everyone needs to watch at least once over the holidays.
>>150653723
>Why not just abduct a Haruka from another timespace?
Maybe this wasn't possible.
I mean, he abducted the Haruka that we know but shit started happening to Noein and his plan so I don't really know.
>>150653771
Honestly the art is what initially drew me to it years ago. It's different but it's beautiful.
>>150653836
It really is a unique artstyle that works well with the direction of the episodes, and the settings and backgrounds tend to be movie-tier quality. The production of the show was clearly well-managed and presents beautifully with each scene.
>>150653804
I love how they finally beat him by using quantum physics. They refuse to observe him, so his quantum existence isn't verified and he stops existing.
>>150654045
It's kinda scary when you think about it.
>>150654038
"Noein is set in the Japanese port city of Hakodate, Hokkaido. The animators took great care to recreate a lot of the details of Hakodate like its buildings, port, and environments in order to make it look exactly like the actual city.[1][2][3]"

OP, far and away. It's amazing. ED is eh.
>>150654205
I never skip this OP. It's just so addicting in a old-fashioned sense.
BDBOX looks pretty cool.

I was looking at one on Amazon but I'm a poorfag so 60 bucks is a lot for me to spend. Someday I'll get it.
