It's kind of funny how well dubstep went with the fight scenes and everything in that anime. I enjoyed watching this as well. If only that one girl didn't get herself killed by trying to track down the MC that one time.

Personally, I liked how they began to characterized Shinichi's degrading humanity. You begin to notice how he becomes more laid-back and steady. He also gets a taste of that sweet, sweet edge. You can kinda tell his morality is skewed for a bit when you see him attempt to put the dog corpse in the trash can and act like nothing happened. Of course, this character arc is finished off with the snowy park scene with the baby. It was nice.

I think you guys are rating it too low. I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The manga is almost identical in the main plot points, but being produced in the 80s many little aesthetic differences are present.

I fucking loved Parasyte. The character development was amazing and it had some really great themes. The only problem is that it has that feel alot of old manga/anime do where a lot of characters act stupid for the sake of the plot.

I read the manga in preparation for the anime, but I ended up never watching the anime. I just can't get myself to watch it. I'll probably watch it after I've forgotten somewhat how the plot goes.

Most of all though I'd like to see his more recent work get animated.

This. For some reason I didn't really mind while reading the manga (probably because I read the whole thing in one go) but it became really noticeable in the anime. I still gave the show a pass because Migi and Shinichi's character writing was excellent but it could've been even better if this particular aspect of the source material had been improved on a little.

It was above average in my books. I didn't like how they updated it to modern tech, which made why that one girl not have a celphone on here frustrating. And the ending was week.

I actually liked the dubstep, it made the intense fight with parasytes aelien and stressful.
