The premise is interesting enough, but the execution is average. Some of the MC's conclusions are a bit far-fetched, and some of the drama is a bit melodramatic (typical for most manga). The anime is nearly a perfect one to one adaptation of the manga.

Royal Scans has a lot on his/their plate both manga-wise and IRL, so they take awhile to translate. So instead of translating the first 4 volumes which were already covered by the anime, they just jumped to volume 5 where the anime left off.
