Anyway I only buy at small events or if I have already seen it on pixiv or an arists' twitter. 90% of doujin that china or other people upload is shit taste. 400-700 yen is nothing, really. Also no one uploads anthologies anymore. Anthologies are great.

I scan some for sadpanda though those are only my staple-bound books. I dont want to bend or tear a book because resale is nice, especially if bought in Japan and sold in USA or online.

These used to be the prices in USA. 24page book was like $12USD. Famous authors were $40-60. Some of that market is still there, but now it's simple to order online and even with proxy and shipping it's less than $10 a book (under 40pages)

Living in Japan, so it is faster for me to buy the stuff than wait for a scan.

I'm the complete opposite of you then, I'm that gaijin that gives chocolate or candy to the dojin artist and thank them for good taste in porn. And this isn't just fujoshi doujinka, men too. Sometimes you get little presents or bonuses that you would never see in a store or a resale.

You might want to look into just using a proxy service like treasure japan or something and ordering directly from the online stores-- if hentai try booth, melonbooks. If you're not buying too much, say only 5 books order every 6months or something, It will be tons cheaper than a western reseller or doujinrepublic
