there's no doubt everyone would love the manga to run as a weekly obviously, this goes without question.
Especially now with Weekly-Jump no longer having "The Big 3" around besides OnePiece, they could really use the powerboost of DB for their weekly magazine.
The DBR expansion to V-Jump is based around the staff at Shueisha, specifically the section chief Akio Iyoku that also serves as editor-in-chief of V-Jump.
This means that most likely it will stay a monthly despite everyone wanting a weekly.
Overall for the health of Toyotaro and Toriyama I think it's fine that they keep it a monthly. A lot of the manga writers are in extremely poor health because they work extreme hours without breaks or days off just to get their product done on a weekly basis.

Toriyama wouldn't have much to worry about, since he finishes the outlines for arcs beforehand and about Toyotaro, he's very young (late 20s, early 30s, I believe?) so I wonder if it'd take that much of a toll on him. I can't see Toyo doing it weekly, because he needs way too much "homage" to Toriyama's work to make battles look better. His imagination or how the battles should work out(the so called choreography) is pretty limited and actually just Toriyama could pull that off and even toriyama after Freeza saga just started to run out of ideas compared to his tournaments fights or how Vegeta vs Recoome was.
The thing about the manga is that the draws are fine and better paced, while the anime looks bad many times due to Toei digital format that is terrible. Toei's colorization isn't good either due to that. Going back to animation, is just bad, in the U6 Goku vs Pooh, Goku runs around the arena while in freaking 21 to 23rd tournament he would just vanish or afterimage. The funniest thing is that for God powers they actually fight at a slower pace that is visible most time, but when puching and kicking is just a frontal spam against the opponent, when not doing that is just ki-blast everyhwere and then stop and talk for awhile. Kinda sad.

Still for a monthly manga it should have more content and pages. If it were every 2 weeks things would go smoother at the very least
