The problem with Dog Days is that it had too many good characters they couldn't even give most of them enough focus in the first season and then they just kept piling on more new ones.

Season 1: Here's a bunch of great characters and a plot of some sort
Season 2: Here's the great characters from the previous season and a bunch of bit less good characters in the mix
Season 3: Let's ditch the first season's characters for the most part and focus on the less interesting and new ones.
