I have a question about Kaioshin of the 7th Universe - so he became Kaioshin when Buu killed his master (previous Kaioshin) and all other apprentices. This was 5 milion years before DBZ. We know that Kaioshins create new worlds and Hakaishins destroy old ones - so we can assume that Shin was responsible for creating Saiyans' original homeworld and all it's inhabitants. Then why is he always so surprised about the potential of Saiyans? Shouldn't he know the nature of his own creation?

I was thinking about why SSB is such a catastrophic failure, and I think one of the underlying, under-mentioned issues is that they nailed it dead-on the first time around.
You literally can't top this. There are no frills, no exaggerated details. They just turned his hair gold and made him look like a glow-in-the-dark bad-ass. They plateaued with the very first transformation – it was a guaranteed mudslide from there on out.
The only reasonable evolution was SSJ2, as a simple refinement of it's predecessor. But growing it to the waist, making them fuzzy red monkeys, and making it fucking blue?
I thought the introduction of God Ki was a great entrance for them to re-introduce the original design along with it, renovated with a few minor tweaks, maintaining that air of originality, whilst freshening it up a little.

They know what sells, and they focus on that. Quality of story isn't near that, so they disregard that, and seeing how there's no proper source material, we are left with Super.

It's not an impossible feat to accomplish, as seen with other studios that pitch in a weekly cartoon series for children. If Toei wanted to, they could make it happen. The DB manga has always gone at its own pace when it was a weekly serial in the early 80s/90s. Some arcs gone by, yes, but it was passable. I didn't enjoy the dragged out battles in DB for the exception of maybe SS Goku vs Freeza.

But with the manga, I don't doubt Toyotaro since his dedication to the series is as strong as Toriyama's was and Toriyama himself never had a connection with the characters and over all story as he's expressed before.

When you think of Dragon Ball in general, what arc do you picture? What's the arc that made the series so emblematic for you? I don't think there's many manga that had so many consistent arcs consecutively (at least before Super).

Personally, the Android Saga is the era which is solidified in my brain. Where SSJ was a thing but side characters like Krillin and Tenshinhan still got the spotlight despite being grossly outmatched.

Yes they kinda explained it in the Jaco manga that Saiyans don't really age, they will look like 4-7 untill they are like 16-18 that is when they get hit like a thousand trucks by Saiyan puberty and finally grow up.
