I disagree. I get more out of other things. I don't think a passive hobby like watching anime is getting you the sense of accomplishment and happiness other hobbies do. I watch anime usually when I come home after working all day and depressed from a shitty day. Cute girls are a cure for that. It also motivates me to do other things because the cuteness of 2D girls have cured me of my depression.

You could totally watch all anime. It takes significantly longer to produce anime than it does to watch it. In any given week, what, 10 new hours of anime come out? You can get through that in one day. That leaves the entire rest of the week to work on existing anime.

I guess technically it'd be pretty hard to get your hands on every anime ever made, but you totally have time to do it.

Anime is interesting. Anime is fiction. Fiction is usually not meta. Even meta fiction, eventually, pertains to something other than itself. I doubt you only watch anime about anime about anime about anime, thus you watch anime about other things in life. If you find that anime interesting, you must therefore find some value in non-anime things.
