I'm still waiting for Akutagawa to become relevant. He's being foreshadowed that much in both EDs and the 2nd OP that there must be something to him still. If they just give him some final combo hit with shounen screaming like in the OP I'll be so disappointed.

I don't know why this doesn't get more love. Season 1 was pretty good from the point Kyouko showed up onwards, and season 2 has been fantastic the whole time. Easily one of the better shows airing this season.

Good epsiode, my favorite since the flasback ended. I felt like the animation and the direction were better than the usual.

They should just make Dazai the main focus already.

I thought I would hate S2 after the flashback but the constant fighting between the three groups is really great.

I would blame that mostly on the luke-warm reception that S1 had, naysayers also complaining all the time that it would be a fujo-show and that it would adapt manga content that is boring and bad, nitpicking on every small detail, saying that it's bad and so on.

Let us be honest, it was always like that. Teenagers and young adults just are antagonistic all the time, and they want to be heard, so they will post their opinion whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Also, there's the mistaken belief that by overtly criticizing a show all the time, it will draw out other fans of it to try to disassemble those wrong points and generate interesting fun discussion.
This works in moderation, but if it's done constantly, all it does is tire people out and then they just stop giving a shit about it.

The older I get, the less I am interested in trying to justify why I like something, especially when I and the other guy are anonymous anyway.

However, because fans stop giving a shit about it and don't bother responding to such negative posts anymore, that means that the hater has free reign to keep posting his opinion how everything sucks, this then shifts perception about how everyone believes that the show sucks, and then newcomers who might be interested in watching the show just see that everyone thinks that it must suck and thus not be worth watching it at all.
