I need a complete adaptation of Alice in Borderlands. They did a handful of chapters as a 3 episode OVA, but now that the series is over, and I've seen that they can do a good job with an animation I'd like to see the whole thing.

Yeah, and I've watched a couple of series go that way. It sucks when the regulars get weirded out by the new, annoying, fans and bail. It's the price I have to pay to see a manga in motion.

Yes, it's in Weekly Young Jump (seinen), it takes place about one hundred years ago and features a lot of veterans from the Russo-Japanese war trying to find some gold and kill each other along the way. The key to the gold is that a map to it is tattooed on 24 escaped convicts who range from Yakuza to serial killers, crossdressers, escape artists, martial arts experts and even Hijikata Toshizo (the actual Shinsengumi guy).

Lots of brutal murder but also very funny and cute and lots of focus on historical details and close-ups of the food they make.

There are a lot of fags who don't read manga, mostly newfags. There are also people who refuse to read ongoing series, which is faggy too. So I guess anime is more accessible to most people, for one you just have to look at it and listen. Maybe manga is too much like reading for some of the drooling retards on this board.

I like manga better, there's more choice and authors can be more creative because there's not the same commercial pressure as there is with anime. A magazine can take a chance on a new author, or a new series. One shots are a thing too, there's so much more manga than there is anime. And in fact it can be self published if needs be. Because it doesn't air on TV there's less restriction on content, less censoring. And because there's no animation art and pages can be incredibly detailed, which isn't always found in anime.

Well, I feel like they could capture its weirdness well. Think slightly old school SHAFT. During the ef and Arakawa era. Arakawa, in particular. Before they were "the Monogatari studio".
And I agree, somewhat, regarding the quality. It worked better as a weekly fun read without an underlying plot. The attempts to insert heavy drama and racial allegories haven't really worked out. If it goes back to being a fun, silly, and romantically endearing series, it could get back on track.

Totally agree. The chapter in which they stayed over-night together was great. And almost every interaction they've had has been just as fun to read. But the two instances that have focused on this broader idea of racism and segregation have been hard to get through.
