the anime moved Nozomi's class exchange race from the 2nd match to the 4th, so Aoba's match was moved from the 4th to the 3rd, but still, it's totally possible for me that Mio had planned to have Aoba advance to elite class, not without Aoba's own merit of course, because she was also looking forward to the East/West war, and to have Nozomi improve as a player more than she would if Aoba wasn't with her friends.

I like how, despite Mio being all flirty around girls on the surface, she doesn't actually try to make serious advances on people who aren't romantically interested in her. Pic related is her actually pushing Nozomi away from her so that Nozomi can exercise her ability to solve problems.

At some point in the future, Nozomi will probably play against her, as Mio has foretold. It could be a moving story of how Mio, despite having the company of other elite class girls, doesn't have the friendship factor that Nozomi has.
