I would definitely recommend it, especially just before bed! I find myself able to most enjoy the show when my mind is already a bit hazy and the girls's silly situations hit that much harder.

As an intrepid and entirely normal /a/ user I have to say that my favorite part was in chapter 2,227 of the manga when Yuzuko dies forever. I already said that in the thread that was made to commemorate the release of the chapter, but I'd just thought that I would say it here in the thread about the anime adaptation in order to REALLY kill the discussion.

We sure love our discussions here, after all. Have you heard about those generals? Sometimes they post about things that aren't specified in the OP. We can't have that. I cried to the mods for 2 months, and I think that they're finally starting to cater to me.

It would be more clear if I were actually saying it verbally. I'm just butthurt about the fact that people are complaining so much about discussiveness when discussion is dead on /a/ anyway. People who read the manga make threads about new chapters of the manga. They get all the discussion they need out of their systems and then they wait for the anime adaptation. Then they fill the thread about the anime adaptation. If anybody is unfortunate enough to bring up the plot, they either get told "LOL read the manga, baby", some spoiler from a distant chapter, or whatever conclusion the posters reached in the thread they made about the manga. So every thread winds up being a general thread even when it isn't meant to be. Then they turn around and call us cancer.

but to add on to what makes Yuyushiki so great, I love the casual atmosphere of the series. even though I've watched it over and over, it feels fresher than most re-watches just because the character interactions are so natural.

You can analyze almost every situation and figure out what every character is thinking exactly, it has good timing and extremely consistent characters.
It even plays out played out gags before better than anyone, normally comedy never acknowledges that you can joke about something and be serious at the same time, but Yuyushiki at least doesn't flat out call oka-san a liar in pic related (even if it implies she's slightly dishonest)
