Each episode title is always "Pure X", with X being a different step in the process of recording/converting audio. There's also numerous visual references to old audio equipment, soundproofing, etc in the base of operations of the main characters.
Furthermore and probably most importantly, in order to enter the parallel worlds they do, the two heroines need to reach "zero impedance". Impedance was an issue in early audio transferring and recording, because various radio waves would influence the audio wave as it traveled along the cable, this caused interference and was called impedance. To correct impedance, two of the same audio waves would be transferred, but one would be flipped. The interference would cause the same impedance with both, then at the end the flipped wave would be flipped back and recombined with the initial wave. Since they both had the same impedance/interference, but one wave was flipped, the impedance is cancelled out while the original audio remains pure (because the audio was flipped twice, once before and once at the end, so it's the same as the initial audio). This also can be applied to the two main characters, who are very close to being opposites personality and design wise.

They experience the early life of a girl called Iro, since there are two of them in the same memory, they are "split" into experiencing different parts of Iro's memory. The coloration of memories in this episode is quite evident, things relating to good memories are a warm orange, those that are negative a cold and muted blue. One of the protagonists is always experiencing a "blue" memory, and the other is always experiencing and "orange" one.
Numerous times, the character experiencing blue memories goes to the other one and tells them to "switch with Iro", so they could experience the warm, orange memories. The response to this is always "But there's only one Iro."
Eventually, the line is "There's only one Iro, there's always only been one." at which point the memory "collapses" and becomes gray and colourless.
It becomes a lot more understandable once you realize in Japanese, Iro means colour. So when one of the characters asks to "switch with Iro" they are saying they want to change the colour of their memories. The response "There's only one Iro, there's only ever been one." is interpreted by most to mean that there's only ever been one colour, just like how we only have one memory, and how you can't simply pick and chose the good memories, you need to take the good with the bad instead of being nostalgic about the good and pushing the bad away. The point when the characters realize this is when the world becomes gray, which is the colour you get when mixing orange and blue together on a canvas.

Nigga, impedance is not a synonym for interference and it can't be caused by it either. It's a term for complex resistance in AC systems, like audio systems. Impedance is always there and determines how much interference you get. What you called zero impedance is actually a zero difference of impedance, so the interference caused on both ends would be the same strength and be easy to cancel out. You've probably seen a Ohms value on speakers or headphones. That's the impedance of that speaker. More impedance means a clearer sound, but you need more power to achieve the same output level.

To be fair Izetta has a lot of nice stuff in it, specifically in regards to military equipment.
For example, in the previous episode where the spy got sniped, we see the bullet impact (and hear it as well) shortly before we hear the gunshot, which helps denote the distance of the shot because bullets travel faster than sound does.
They're also doing a good job with their budget, saving animation for scenes that are memorable and really matter (again in the previous episode there were numerous low detail shots of Izetta/Fine just talking about stuff, but during the sniping scene the animation was quite fluid and detailed).
